Appearance[]
Cú Chulainn is a Demigod with the appearance of a young boy with long silver hair gathered in a braid that falls over his shoulders and reaches his chest, as well as red eyes. He wears a blue combat uniform that leaves his chest, arms and legs from the knees down exposed, a long red cloak supported by a golden medallion attached under the right shoulder and bearing a Celtic symbol, and black bandages on his arms and legs that reach up to the hands and feet. Walk barefoot.
Personality[]
Cú Chulainn deeply hates the Gods, considering them haughty and arrogant, and does not hide his hatred towards them, even telling them to their face if he has the opportunity. However, he is also a profiteering Demigod who knows how to seize opportunities quickly, as he wants to take advantage of the Apocalypse Tournament to overthrow Zeus and take the throne from him. In battle, Cú Chulainn aims for a direct approach and a frontal attack, being surprised if it doesn't work but not giving up the fight anyway.
He behaves in a snooty manner with the other Gods, without fear of insulting them or of making even Chief Gods like Ra-Horakhty upset and claiming that he doesn't give a damn about the Gods or of Humans and only does what he wants. Nonetheless, if he finds himself in a difficult situation he knows how to recognize it. Cú Chulainn hates being told how to fight, but he also hides a tender side, as he loves his dog Geis, which prevents him from going out of control and pushes him to be kind to others, and always cuddles him.
Biography[]
Cú Chulainn is a Celtic Demigod, son of a God and a Human, and therefore considered a sort of outcast, as well as one of the Outer Gods. During the times of the Ulster Cycle, he ended up clashing with Morrígan, managing to defeat her and becoming the only God capable of doing so.
At the end of the meeting of the Gods' Council of the XXI Century, following the proclamation of the Ragnarok Tournament to give Humans a chance to survive, Cú Chulainn, present at the meeting but hidden, insults the Gods who think they are so omnipotent. Soon after, Cú Chulainn participates in the meeting of the Gods' Council in which Zeus announces the Gods Fighters that would fight in the Ragnarok Tournament representing the Gods. When many Gods become angry at the absence of their names, Sun Wukong points out that one name is missing from the list, and it is at that point that Zeus announces the Apocalypse Tournament between 16 Gods to win the last place in the Gods Fighters.
Cú Chulainn also participates, and after the meeting he reaches Zeus together with his dog Geis, interrupting the imminent battle between Zeus and Ra-Horakhty, asking Zeus for his throne if were to win the Apocalypse Tournament. Taking advantage of what Cú Chulainn said, Ra also claims that the prize of the Tournament should be larger, and so Zeus agrees to guarantee the winner of the Apocalypse Tournament also the possibility of inventing a new law for the Constitution of Valhalla, as well as placing Cú Chulainn and Ra against in the first match of the Round of 16.
At the start of the Apocalypse Tournament, Cú Chulainn greets Geis and enters the ring, where he faces Ra-Horakhty in the Round of 16. Despite being outmatched throughout most of the battle, Cú Chulainn ultimately manages to defeat Ra-Horakhty using his always-hitting, always-killing Gáe Bolg technique to pierce him all over his body although not killing him. After winning, Cu Chulainn mocks the Gods for their arrogance and faints soon after. Here he is found by Prometheus with the help of Geis and taken to the infirmary. Once Cú Chulainn has recovered, Prometheus tries to warn him that if he continues to fight like this he will not win the Tournament, but Cú Chulainn decides to continue doing as he prefers.
Powers and Abilities[]
Overall Abilities: As a Demigod, Cú Chulainn possesses physical abilities far superior to those of any ordinary Human. His body cannot be damaged by mortal weapons, however it can still be damaged by unarmed attacks from individuals with superhuman strength and Divine Weapons. For the same reason, Cú Chulainn is unable to die due to old age. When cornered, Cú Chulainn can use a sort of Berserker Mode in which he enters a state of pure fury, attacking almost without reasoning. - Also in Celtic Mythology Cú Chulainn is a Demigod born from a Human, Deichtine, and from the supreme God of Celtic Mythology, Lugh. Cú Chulainn is also considered the reincarnation of Lugh.
- Although Cú Chulainn does not possess the characteristics of an antagonist, he should still be considered an antagonist of the Record of Ragnarok franchise as, being a member of the Gods' Council, voted for the extermination of Humanity and has no problem going against both Humans and Gods.
- Cú Chulainn's fighting style is possibly a reference to his mythological story, specifically the game hurling, which he was said to excel at.
