Caenis can also be quick to lose her composure when she lost her debate to the Chrysos Heirs. In which, she led the Cleaners out from hiding to kill Aglaea to usurp her position. History[]
Eternal Recurrence #33,550,336[]
Rise to Power[]
Caenis was currently the 27th incarnation of the original Caenis, who had used alchemical art of memory implanting. Caenis also led of the group of assassins named the Cleaner Order, whose historical presence was forgotten after Chrysos War ended. During Era Chrysea, Caenis has earned a fearsome reputation for killing many members of Chrysos Heirs. Her reputation has become much overinflated when her previous incarnation of Caenis have murdered the innocent & retiring Chrysos Heirs, instead of the tyrannical fallen heroine Seliose in the Sky Castrum, Eye of Twilight. In the present day, she was currently the Okheman Representative of the Council of Elders.
When Aglaea, leader of the Chrysos Heirs overseers Amphoreus with Creation Nymphs to see any kinds of threats to protect Okhema and give her best for humanity, Caenis has been observing her movements and conspire with the other elders to slandering her name, much to Aglaea's disappointment as she calls her out for disloyalty. At the same time, Aglaea also feared Caenis' infamy for killing many Chrysos Heirs and even stealing the credit of the Chrysos Heirs' heroic deeds, for the sake of earning reputation.Whenever Aglaea has been protecting Okhema from the attacks of Maddened God Nikador or The Flame-Reaver killing the Titan of Time, Oronyx in the Siege of Janusopolis, Caenis has been scheming on overthrowing Aglaea by conspiracy to reduce Aglaea's good publicity.
The Downfall of The Usurper[]
| “ | Aglaea: I still remember, this bath that overlooks the entire Palace was built by the Council of Elders nine hundred years ago. Its purpose was to commemorate the first Flame-Chase Journey, and to remember the heroes who made great sacrifices for Amphoreus a millennium ago. Rules were set then. No one was allowed to enter, apart from guests invited by the Goldweaver. But, I guess... you're no longer pretending to follow the rules, are you, Lady Caenis? Caenis: Aglaea, Aglaea... You ageless witch, hiding behind a divine facade to deceive mortals... We've been far too kind with you. Aglaea: Kind? There's no need to use such a word to cover up your... Incompetence. Anaxagoras humiliated all of you before the citizens. If you still had any shred of shame, you'd throw yourselves from Dawncloud at the Curtain-Fall Hour to salvage the last fragments of your dignity. |

| ~ Aglaea confronted by Elder Caenis and the Cleaners in her final confrontation. |
When the Flame-Chase Prophecy Debate took place in Dawn Cloud, where the two parties, Council of Elders and Chrysos Heirs were attended by Lycurgus in a stage where Kephale's Coreflame is kept. In the upcoming assembly, Anaxa was specifically invited by Lycurgus in a meeting with Caenis, Okheman representative of the Council of Elders. Anaxa's disinterest of Aglaea manages to gain trust of Elder Caenis. She proclaims that Amphoreus shall return to its Glory Days during Era Chrysea, where Thanatos wasn't born. Unknown for her, Anaxa brought Castorice to discern the truth of Era Nova. During the debate, Anaxa then told the assembled crowds the truth behind Era Nova that Caenis and the Okheman Council allowed him to plant the Coreflame in himself, which is considered to be a blasphemy. Caenis was so outraged that she became an accomplice to Anaxa's blasphemous plan, but she nonetheless denied her responsibility and asked Lygus. But Lygus simply told her that he only observes the truth that would be shown in time, and he proceeds to let Aglaea decide, much to Caenis' displeasure.
Angered by the humiliation brought by Anaxagoras and Aglaea, Caenis immediately led the Cleaner Order out from hiding to stop the Flame-Chase journey, sending out certain groups to Dan Heng, Phainon, and The Trailblazer to stall them, while plan on assassinating Aglaea. She accused the demigod of romance for neglecting her authority and her care for humanity and threaten to blind a child, while also sending one of the cleaners to the little girl whom Aglaea have spoken to, if she doesn't comply. Aglaea insists that if Caenis rhetoric was actually true, she'd abandon the hostages. After Caenis kills Aglaea, she immediately took her position. However, Aglaea's death by the hands of Caenis and the Cleaners sparks fury from the citizens of Okhema, resulting Aglaea's reputation being vindicated while Caenis being condemned. Afterwards, Caenis went into hiding while the other Cleaners were hunted to death by the enraged citizens, as Aglaea posthumously exposes her as a power-hungry fraud.
Death[]
| “ | As a "Cleaner", she was willing to absorb a millennium of identities and memories for an objective that hasn't changed in that time... I suppose this is also a form of extreme but twisted resilience? | „ |
| ~ Phainon after Caenis's Death. |
When the Dawn Device is extinguished, Caenis, now mentally unstable, quietly walks out from hiding as the Okheman citizen facing the horde of the Black Tide creatures, returning to Dawncloud. She then prayed to Kephale, pathetically begging the Worldbearing Titan to forgive the "lowly" children of Humanity and protection from golden-blooded "heretics". When Phainon, the Trailblazer, and Dan Heng returned from the Destroyed Aquila's Sky Castrum, Eye of Twilight, Phainon only saw her as a rambling madwoman who is not worth killing, as Caenis, along with the Cleaner Order were condemned by the public perception in the history of Amphoreus. When Phainon opened the casket of Kephale's coreflame, Caenis delusionally laughed, mocks him, and claims that she had moved it somewhere. Phainon knows that it was actually part of Cipher's plan to stall the Flame-Reaver rather than hers. Caenis then immidiately killed by the Black-Tide Creatures from behind as the Trailblazer, Dan Heng, & Phainon prepares to fight the Black Tide creatures before the Flame-Reaver is approaching fast for the Coreflame of Kephale, which actually was kept by Bartholos as part of Cipher's final plan.
