Calliope is the main antagonist of the Supernatural episode Fan Fiction. She is one of the nine Muses and the Goddess of Epic Poetry in Greek Mythology. She is responsible for inspiring creativity in directors and producers. When their plays and vision are realized, she eats them.
She was portrayed by Hannah Levien
Appearance[]
She has long golden brown hair and blue eyes. She is wearing a long white sleeveless dress with purple star flowers on the bottom and a white cape.
Biography[]
Like all other Pagan Deities she was created by God. It is unclear whether she was a first generation Deity created directly by God or the child of other Deities. In ancient Greek time she was one of the nine Muses and the Goddess of Epic Poetry. She inspired people and ate them when their creative vision was realized.
In modern day America she has inspired a young screenwriter and musical director named Marie at an all girl school named St. Alphonso’s Academy in Flint, Michigan. It is the Supernatural books that have been adapted into a musical. When first the drama teacher named Mrs. Chandler and then one of the actors named Maggie tried to stop the production Calliope had them imprisoned in the school’s basement. When the real Sam and Dean from Supernatural tried to save the screenwriter and musical director she took Sam to the school’s basement, where the teacher Mrs. Chandler and the student Maggie were being held, and attacked him. While Calliope was busy arguing with Sam she was distracted by the teacher and the student. This made it possible for Sam to get away. He then killed her by stabbing her with a wooden stake.
Personality[]
She enjoys inspiring people and helps them fulfill their visions. Afterwards she eats them. She also considered the Supernatural fan fiction musical as epic and a great story. She appears to be less malicious compared to the other villains of the show. In the scene with Mrs. Chandler and Maggie, she is fine with just having imprisoned the people who worked against her goal instead of straight up killing them. But she can also be ruthless and without remorse when she attempts to eat a child and kill Dean and Sam who are innocent.
Powers and abilities[]
- Immortality - Calliope could as a Pagan Deity potentially live forever. It is hinted that she has lived for at least thousands of years ever since ancient Greek Civilization. She doesn’t age or require food. She is immune to toxins and diseases.
- Telekinesis - only through the sheer power of her mind she could slam Sam up against a door without even touching him.
- Apporting - She sent Mrs. Chandler, Maggie, and Sam to the school’s basement.
- Conjuration - she can make characters from the stories she inspired come to life to protect the director.
