Your healing factor poses quite a problem for us; you resist assimilation even more than other mutants. But your entire skeleton is bonded with Adamantium, a very good conductor. By assimilating your bones, the Phalanx will examine you from the inside-out.	„

Cameron Hodge is a minor antagonist in X-Men: The Animated Series. He was an anti-mutant politician who eventually became part of the Phalanx.

He was voiced by Stephen Ouimette.

Biography[]

Hodge first appears in the episode "Slave Island" as the development adviser to Genosha's government, helping someone known as "The Leader" oversee the island's imprisoned mutants (including Gambit, Storm and Jubilee) building a dam with depowering collars around their necks which will explode if they try to remove them. Meanwhile, this is where Henry Gyrich and Dr. Bolivar Trask are creating Master Mold and the Sentinels. When the mutant Cable arrives to destroy the Sentinels, Hodge and the Leader are on their way to Switzerland, but Cable intercepts them just long enough for Hodge to be consumed by a giant wave of water caused by Storm destroying the aforementioned dam, resulting in the loss of his left arm and right leg. Cable teleports himself and the Leader away, leaving the latter's fate ambiguous. All mutant prisoners managed to escape the island.

He reappears in "The Phalanx Covenant", where he willingly betrays the entire human race and aids the titular organism in its attempt to assimilate all organic life in the universe, uncaring but knowing full-well that it would deprive everyone of individual thought and emotion in order to create a "perfect" world. After capturing Quicksilver, Banshee, Sabretooth and most of the X-Men, Hodge plans to assimilate Wolverine's Adamantium skeleton from the inside-out. Beast, Forge, Warlock, Magneto, Mr. Sinister and Amelia Voght fortunately team up to defeat both Hodge and the Phalanx.

While he doesn't make another appearance, Hodge is said to be leading a rogue military group that's creating an army of brainwashed mutant slaves at the end of "Hidden Agendas". He was never seen or mentioned again.
