Camp Counselor Nia is a legendary wendigo, a former Pioneer Scout camp counselor at the Pioneer Scout camp, and an antagonist in Fallout 76. She is one of three possible boss enemies for the public event "Campfire Tales" at Camp Adams.
Biography[]
According to a former Pioneer Scout from Camp Adams named Layla McAdams, she had been at the camp one night when she noticed her brother, Ronnie, had disappeared. She tried asking the other Pioneer Scouts for help, but they blew her off. However, when she went into the woods to collect more kindling for the campfire, she couldn't see the light of the campfire anymore to guide her way back. However, she was able to find her way back on her own, and uploaded her story into the Miss Nanny serving as the scout leader, Scout Leader Penny. During her recording of her story, mentioning that something had snatched her brother and camp counselor, she's startled by the sound of a branch breaking, and is horrified when her camp counselor, Nia, appears, having mutated into a wendigo. The last thing heard being Layla's horrified screams as she either flees or is attacked by Nia.
After hearing that part of Layla's story, Nia attacks with several other animals, such as wolves and bloodbugs, and she has to be killed before the campfire goes out, or the event fails. Additional dry kindling can be collected and added to the fire to keep it going until Nia is slain, awarding the chance for a Pioneer Scout badge on completion of the event, which can be traded in for unique plans and clothes that can only be attained by trading in Pioneer Scout badges for them.
