Campbell Eliot is the main antagonist of the Netflix TV series The Society.
He is the brother of Sam Eliot and cousin to Allie and the late Cassandra Pressman. He is shown to not care much about the survival and just looking out for himself, but rather starting trouble with everyone. His brother, Sam is afraid of Campbell and warns the group that his brother is dangerous and manipulative.
He is portrayed by Toby Wallace, who also played The Kid in The Bikeriders and Matty in The Royal Hotel.
Personality[]
Campbell is shown to be charming, but is manipulative, abusive, confident and psychopathic, as he only cares about himself and believes the survival of the fittest and likes causing trouble for the town. He believes that he and Elle are alike claiming that they don't have many friends and keeps her isolated from everybody else.
It is also shown that many others hate Campbell and are afraid of him, suggesting he should be locked away, even though there's no evidence of him committing any crime.
Biography[]
Early life[]
According to Sam, when Campbell was younger, he clipped off the wings of their pet bird, which alarmed their parents. After confirming to be a psychopath, his family were afraid of him, due to this, it was presumably his parents did not give him much affection throughout his childhood.
Present[]
Campbell is first seen among the teenagers to board the school buses on a class trip. He later begins a relationship with Elle Tomkins, claiming that since they don't have any friends there alike. As their relationship starts to processing, Elle starts to become afraid of her alone time with Campbell, who becomes abusive towards her. Elle plans to kill Campbell with a pie that had poison in it, but failed as Campbell suggests they bring it to the Thanksgiving dinner, causing everyone who ate it to become sick. After finding out her trickery, he uses this as an excuse for his belief that they are equals, as she going to let all the people be poisoned.
Afterward, Campbell finds Ell in the bathroom, who starts having seizures and quickly rushes her to the hospital, showing that he doesn't want to lose her. By the end of the season, Elle is still in a toxic relationship with Campbell.
After being lock up and hearing about an election, Campbell manipulates Harry into making Lexie become the co-mayor of New Ham and to control of the town and put Allie and Will away.
