Tell them. Tell the people we are the new rulers of Golos. Tell them. Or I will destroy the Main Life Plant.
~ Attempting to take power.

Cantar is the titular main antagonist of the episode The Exiles from Space 1999. He arrives at the Alphan base alongside his sister Zova frozen in a membrane within something that seems like a missle.

Biography[]

According to Cantar he needed help finding others who would perish within the cylinders that they were trapped within. While describing why he was there he claimed he and his wife were exiled by a few insurgents who were violent in nature. As members from Golos the peace planet they thank the Alphans.

While they would like to bring the other containers down it would be impossible because they barely have space for the Alphan crew. Cantar then starts to plead with them arguing that in 36 hours he can increase capacity and even teach them the secret of space travel in the manner he performs it. Koenig remains stone cold on his stance though. Cantar is stunned by the suspicious Koenig but after he wakes he is allowed to increase space but with security.

Soon they are nearing completion and Helena leaves due to the sound. Soon there are explosions in the Alphan ship and different rooms are shorting out. Thereafter in life support some casualties were reported. The Golos members attack the guards and then knock out Helena. Cantar soon threatens to destroy Golos if Ragnar isn't brought to him.

In a twist of fate he and Zova the exiles are the evil ones and the ruthless bunch. Mirella the descendant of Ragnar reveals herself and condemns Cantar. Zova is sent to beat Koenig as the situation escalates. Cantar essentially uses Zova to blackmail Koenig to sell his people into slavery. If the Alphans won't aid them he will torture Helena through a sculpture. Koenig though waits and unhooks Zova from her lifeline and she is knocked into space. Soon Cantar sees himself aging because without the protective membrane that Helena subtly pierced, time catches up. In a matter of minutes Cantar was reduced into nothing.
