Captain Barder is the leader of Space Pirate Fleet Descal and the main antagonist for the first third of Chousei Kantai Sazer-X.
History
Captain Barder arrived with the rest of the fleet to conquer the Earth. His first action was to order the Three Shoguns to collect the Cosmo Capsules. However, Barder and his subordinates encountered resistance from Sazer-X.
Barder is later revealed to be a robot when lightning strikes his ship, causing him to malfunction. Left without a leader, the Three Shoguns ponder what to do.
What remains of Barder is later obliterated when his ship is destroyed in a battle with Sazer-X.
