Captain Cuddles is the main antagonist of the thirteenth book in Dav Pilkey's Dog Man book series, Big Jim Begins, a spin-off to the Captain Underpants franchise.

Created by an unknown inventor, Cuddles was sent along with his pawns, the rest of the Space Cuties, to invade Earth for an unknown reason.
On their journey, Cuddles finds out from the commandeer of their spaceship, the Captain's Log, that Nurse Genie S. Lady, had not currently found a very important ring named "The Ring of Destiny and Stuff", which likely could've helped her in defeating them.
After a long three "kazillion gloopsnocks", the Space Cuties had finally reached Earth, where Cuddles ordered that they would set up a circus tent and create a sham Hero Party, with every hero from the entire book series being invitees.
Word quickly spread around about the Hero Party, leading almost all of the heroes in the city excluding Big Jim and Grampa to sprint inside, where they were given free chocolate cake by Cuddles. Little did every hero know, the cake was spiked with sleep potion, causing everyone who had ate the cake to instantly fall asleep.
Because no one from the party was answering Big Jim, he and a reluctant Grampa went to investigate the party, where they found everyone in deep sleep. Everyone, of course, except Dog Man, who reveals through his thoughts that his boss, Chief, had stopped him from eating the poisonous chocolate cake and had just decided to join in sleeping when he saw everyone else sleep, until he was awoken by Big Jim and Grampa.
Meanwhile, Cuddles and his second-in-command, Doctor Dimples, had been briefly talking about how every hero in the city was asleep, and as they went to double-check, they saw Big Jim, Grampa, and Dog Man still awake. However, after using a special tracker, Dimples reassured Cuddles that the trio didn't have any superpowers, resulting to them leaving laughing at how easily they would conquer the planet. Due to this, Dog Man immediately went and put on his superhero costume and went to stop the Space Cuties, with Big Jim and Grampa following.
With the first phase of their plan finished, the Space Cuties went out into the middle of the city, zapping everything they could find with a special ray that turned them exteremly cute, with the ray even working on humans.
Little did Cuddles and the other Space Cuties know, Dog Man, Big Jim, and Grampa were out and about to try and stop them, and after getting into the spaceship using a small thermal exhaust port, Dimples had informed everyone about the intruders and ordered them to defend the space ship at all costs.
After a tremendous battle, Dog Man, Big Jim, and Grampa had accidentally landed on a trap door, and, once Cuddles and Dimples found out, had fallen through it after the former and latter opened it, leading them all into a prison within the spaceship, called "Space Jail". There, after much consideration, Big Jim had lured Dimples into a hug, which, unbeknownst to everyone except the Space Cuties, decapitated Dimples and ultimately killing him and revealing the Space Cuties to actually be robots. After hearing this, Grampa used a propeller to levitate himself up and hug every Space Cutie there was, including Cuddles and the Captain's Log.
