Years ago, prior to the first curse, Captain Silver is a captain of a ship in which Liam Jones and his brother, Killian were in Silver's service. He mocks when Liam says they are going to leave and join the Royal Navy. Unfortunately, the corrupted captain revealed that Killian has turned to drinking and gambles away his prospects. Liam won't abandon his brother, so he was forced to agreeing to get rid of the paperwork that would allow Liam and Killian to go into the navy.
Captain Silver sailed the ship on a quest in search of the eye of the storm, a jewel the king will pay handsomely for. Unfortunately, the unreasonable corrupted captain is sailing the ship into a hurricane, which Liam points out and calls idiotic and suicide. But when Silver ignores Liam's warnings and sails on. With that, Liam, alongside Killian, led a mutiny against them. The entire crew, minus 3 followers of Silver turned on Liam and had him his allies tied up & relieving them of duty. Liam took over the ship as the new captain captain, which Killian acknowledges that there is no other person he would sail under. However, unknown to Silver, Killian and the rest of the crew, Liam earned a visit from the god, Hades, in the captain's quarters. The lord of the dead, who wants and desires souls, offered him a deal that if Liam drowns the rest of the crew, Hades will spare Liam and Killian as the sole survivors and give them the Eye of the Storm. Liam agrees which got Captain Silver and the rest of the crew at sea, minus the Jones brothers, killed. The captain ended up in the underworld since.
After the third Curse[]
While in the underworld, he is seen at Liam's bar (who the former had died earlier too) and learns about Liam's deal with Hades and plotted revenge. Later on, he and the crew capture Killian Jones and attempted to throw them both into the firery waters at the cross-over point of the underworld. Unfortunately for the former captain, Hades appeared and had him thrown into the fiery waters, disposing the corrupted man once and for all. Afterwards, the rest of the crew are able to move on with Liam to Mount Olympus after he sacrifices himself as the crew now know the truth, which means their unfinished business is complete as well.
