Captain Snout is a major antagonist in Alberto Vazquez's 2nd Spanish-French full-length animated feature film Unicorn Wars.

He is the former captain of the teddy bear army, and Colonel Otto's third-in-command.

He was voiced by Eduardo Gorriño.

Appearance

Snout is a skinny brown furred teddy bear that wears pince nez glasses and has blue eyes. He is usually seen wearing a blue uniform, with a white collared shirt, a black tie, and a hat that has a pink heart emblem on it.

Personality

Much like his superior, Colonel Otto, Captain Snout seems to hold a prejudice towards the unicorns. Also like his superior, he shows no concern for the soldiers of the love camp, as he does not appear to object to Otto's deeming of their disappearances as "collateral damage", and he insults them for their performance from afar.

Biography

Snout is first seen overseeing the soldiers of the Love Camp, commenting on their abysmal performance. Otto replies that this makes him perfect for Operation Missing Bird, claiming that any soldiers that die will not be a big loss and are merely "collateral damage". When Sergeat Ironstroke comes into Otto's office, Snout explains the mission to him, which causes Ironstroke to tremble in fear as Otto is threatening that refusing can cause him to risk his chance of being promoted. Fluffy and Snout then accompany Otto as Otto gives his speech to his soldiers.

When Bluey is found injured in a river, and brought to the military hospital, Fluffy and Snout also accompany Otto as he promotes Bluey to lieutenant. Afterwards, when Bluey insults Otto's supposed lack of experience with the forest, Snouts along with the other two leaders threatens Blue. He, along with Otto and Fluffy, are killed by a coup led by Bluey.

Trivia

• Early artwork of the film indicates that Snout was originally going to be Otto's second-in-command, possibly taking the role of commander, instead of Fluffy, as he wears the same outfit he does in the final film. This could also possibly explain why Otto informs Snout about his ultimate plan when they interact in several scenes.
