Captain Soto is a supporting antagonist in LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.
He was the original captain of the Destiny's Bounty who was later brought back to life, along with his pirate crew, by accident, by Lord Garmadon using the Mega Weapon.
He was voiced by Alan Marriott, who also voiced The Mechanic in Season 8 of the same series.
Biography[]
Pirates vs. Ninja[]
After he was brought back to life, he took over the Black Bounty from Lord Garmadon and used the flying upgrades to terrorize Ninjago City. He is later stopped by the ninja and imprisoned by police.
The return of Nadakhan[]
He revealed to the ninja, who were now imprisoned as criminals, that he had a history with their pirate enemy Nadakhan the genie. He defeated Nadakhan by using the venom of a tiger widow, so he won't teleport, and locking him inside a lamp. However, when Mechanic entered the dining room, the ninja had to fight Mechanic, and Soto helped the ninja, while trying to give them some tips. Later, the ninja escaped with Soto, and Soto wished them good luck.
Soto was among the past allies Jay invited to replace the captured ninja. He assisted Jay in getting the Djinn Blade and explained how it was possible to free those trapped in it. After Jay made his final wish, the time reversed, meaning that Soto remained in jail and, since the ninja never received help from him, remains their enemy.

Trivia[]
- Curiously, Soto appears to be out of prison in the Season 12 episode "Would You Like to Enter Prime Empire?", but in the episode "Level Thirteen", which takes place later, he is in jail before Unagami breaks him out. It's unknown if Soto's earlier appearance was an animation error or if he broke out before Season 12 but was arrested again.
