Captain Westwood is a corrupt GUN commander and a major antagonist of the Sonic X comic series by Archie Comics. In secret, Westwood is also The Organizer, leader of the organization S.O.N.I.C.X.
Biography[]
Westwood first appears in the comics, having been frequently overshadowed by Rouge and Topaz's results as a team. Fed up with this, Westwood tricks Sonic into helping disable a heavily weaponized alien craft found beneath the sewers. Sonic initially refused, being that it was Chris's birthday, and his parents were unavailable and didn't want to upset his friend further. Westwood would then lie and tell him it was a direct request from the President. Sonic would defeat the craft in the dessert; however, he noticed Westwood's wording and realized he had been duped. Angered, Sonic buried the ship in the sand, and handed Westwood a shovel. After this, Westwood would attempt to call Rouge and Topaz back from their mission to deal with Eggman in Europe. Unfortunately for him, no agent took him seriously and ignored his orders.
Just after Eggman's arrest for the Egg Moon incident Westwood would contact Tails in hopes of having Tails figure out the alien machine with the hopes of taking the credit. Due to Westwood's arrogance, he activated the automated defense systems, trapping him and Tails inside, and causing the machine to go on a rampage. Sonic, who joined the S-Team looking for excitement, was joined by Sam Speed in defeating the machine once again. While successful in stopping it, Westwood would quickly shift the blame to Sonic and Tails, arresting them in the process. Sonic and Tails would only be imprisoned shortly, as Nelson Thorndyke would be able to convince the President to drop the charges just in time to help Chris stop the recently returned King Boom Boo.
Having been humiliated too often by Sonic and his friends, Westwood contacted several others who were humiliated by the hedgehog and his friends and created a society to destroy them and Dr. Eggman, called S.O.N.I.C.X. Operating under the alias The Organizer, Westwood oversaw several attempts to destroy Sonic, including kidnapping the President and forcing him to sign a bill that made alien presence illegal, attacking with an assortment of multicolored Sonic clones, and attempting to turn Sonic into a monster with a powerful toxin. Eventually, he declared that due to his minions' blunders, he might have to deal with Sonic personally, though the comic ended before he could do so.

- A character that looks almost identical to Westwood, barring the hair colour, is seen in the anime series, but is presumed to be a separate character nonetheless.
