Captain Zero is the overarching antagonist of Thomas & Friends' short-lived sister show TUGS, and its American form Salty's Lighthouse.
He is the scheming and devious owner of the [Z-Stacks and the business rival of Captain Star who intends to sabotage the Star Tugs' ocean liner contract. He is known to have criminal records, originally being affiliated with Johnny Cuba before some sort of disagreement happened between the two, to which they disassociated with each other.
In the UK dub, he was voiced by Sean Barrett. In the US dub, he was voiced by Michael Bell. In Salty’s Lighthouse, he is voiced by Paul Dobson.

Captain Zero is entirely unseen by the audience, though he is known to carry around a yellow megaphone with a single black stripe on it, which he uses to shout at his lackeys. He speaks with an Orcadian accent.
He has five tugboats in his fleet, which are as follows: Zorran (1), Zebedee (2), Zak (3), Zug (4), and Zip (5).
