Carl Bookhart is one of the major antagonists in Ubisoft Open world tactical shooter, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands. He is a U.S. Army Ranger Third Battalions Regiment Sergeant and an old Comrade to Ghost lead “Nomad”, Until his patrol hit in 05, He struggles in Civilian life, until he met El Muro, who invited him into the Cartel as a Buchon, where his turned Santa Blanca meatheads into Elite soldiers.  

He is Voiced by Glenn Wrage who also voiced Joe Chill from Batman: Arkham Asylum. Spencer in the U.S. Version of Thomas and Friends.

Personality[]

At a young age, Carl has severe anger issues. Often leads to getting arrested at a young age. One day he was given a choice between jail or the Military, he picked the military, after serving for some time. He grew passionate and flourished in the Military; after graduating from Military School, he was sent out to Iraq during Operation: Iraqi Freedom in 2003.

Suffering from PTSD and Psychotic behaviors after he and his patrol were ambushed by an Explosion that left him wounded and the rest of his patrols dead, leading to his discharge.  

He is Ruthless and Sadistic, training his troops into becoming cold-blooded killers, by enduring them into harsh training and killing civilians and Officials alike. He would not hesitate in killing women and children.

Carl Bookhart was born on July 2nd, 1996, in Vermont, Carl was severe with several anger issues, often getting in to run with the police for unknown crimes. At the age of 18, he was given the choice between Prison and the Military. Bookhart chose the latter.

Military Career[]

Immediately joined the military. Bookhart and his superior noted that he comfortably flourished in the Army. His natural proficiency and ability caught the attention of the Army Ranger. Who offered him an opportunity in their unit. Readily accepted. He earned praise from his superiors and eventually graduated from Ranger School with high marks. Deployed in Iraq during Operation: Iraqi Freedom. Where he meets and fought with the Future ghost, Anthony “Nomad” Perryman.  

His Service has come to an end however, in 2005 Having patrolled around in downtown Ramadi, his patrol was ambushed by an Ieds Explosion which left him injured while the rest of his units died. After his recovery, despite his physical abilities was fine. He was discharged after being diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.  

Returning to civilian life he tried to adjust to it, but with his PTSD he struggled to keep a job. Resulting in turning back to his old way. Running from the police and going to bars across the border. One day he visited the bar where he stumbled upon one of Santa Blanca's leaders, El Muro, where the latter was looking at Bookhart's background and was impressed. Asking Bookhart to serve the Cartel as their main military instructor to Their soldiers from Triggered happy sicarios into the Professional cartel army. He accepted and was sent to Bolivia to get to work.  

Training and Operation[]

Arriving in Bolivia, he started training in Montuyoc Province. with his training, he pushed the sicarios to their limits. able to field-strip a G36 in under 2 minutes. Basic to advanced firearms training such as first aid, hand-to-hand combat. Infantry training and various disclosed tactics.

He also bought trainers from different nations, including Israel, South Africa, Russia, and the United States. With them, Santa Blanca managed to weed out the weakest members. This period is where El Muro creates his polygraph at the start of each month. Those who failed were promptly tortured and executed. By the end of his training. Two of them become Halcones- lookout for cartels. The rest become Enforcers, Guards, Hitman, Drivers, Torturers, Spies, and Surveillance Specialists.

His Demise[]

During Operation Kingslayer. The Ghosts identify him from Bowman after they rescue the deserter. They were shocked at how their fellow Brother willingly betrayed their country. The Ghosts determined that Bookhart was too dangerous to be kept alive. After they destroyed the mortar crates and killed his instructors. Tracking him to Choa Padre Sliver. He guarded a group of sicarios. Nomad wants to kill him himself. They advanced deeper into the mines. He attempted to make a last stand, but Nomad quickly eliminated him and his remaining sicarios.
