Carnie is a major antagonist in the 2023 video game Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2. He is a recolor of Lefty who serves as a carnival barker that hosts the "Fazerblast" minigames.
He is voiced by Cameron Miller, who also voices Montgomery Gator in the same franchise.
Appearance[]
As a recolor of Lefty, Carnie is a brown bear animatronic from the Rockstar line. He has a beige maw, earlobes and toes, yellow eyes and light blue cheeks and kneecaps. He wears a white vest with green vertical lines and a light blue top hat and bow tie. In the final "Fazerblast" minigame, he is destroyed by a fire in the previous one, resulting in him being much more muddied and burnt-looking.
History[]
Carnie only appears as a virtual animatronic in Fazbear Entertainment's employee training program in Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2. He only appears in the "Fazerblast" minigame in which he hosts a sideshow where you can play a shoot-em-up minigame, requesting the player character to roll up and play the minigame. If the player fails the minigame, Carnie jumpscares them, causing a game over. Halfway through the second minigame, Carnie will give the player a special prize box, which reveals an active PlushBaby after being opened. These then start attacking the player throughout the rest of the minigames.
Throughout each of the first three "Fazerblast" minigames, the player can shoot a rocket ship with their laser gun somewhere in the level, which causes it to go haywire and then fly off to knock something outside the shooting gallery over, which Carnie will notice is a fire hazard. If all three spaceships are shot, then completing the fourth minigame will indeed end with the shooting gallery catching on fire, which spreads to Carnie and the level ends with Carnie screaming in pain.
This then unlocks the fifth and final "Fazerblast" minigame, set in the aftermath of the fire. Picking up the flashlight reveals that Carnie has been completely scorched and destroyed, falling over to reveal a Springtrap cutout behind him, which then starts to teleport around the ruins of the shooting gallery while more PlushBabies attack from every angle. Completing the level will reward the player with one of the memory plushies needed to unlock the secret ending of the game.
