Carpet Bombings are a pair of minor antagonists in the anime/manga series Kinnikuman.
They are a tag team consisting of two murderous Brutal Chojin named Moaidon and Ortega.
Biography[]
Past[]
Just before the first Univeral Tag Team Tournament, the Carpet Bombings, then known as The Tormentors, participated in the South American qualifying rounds for the right to compete in the tournament to show off their brutal skills to the world.
In the qualifying match, they would brutally kill the tag team they were fighting against, slamming them against each other so hard that they exploded blood everywhere. The old mentor of one of The Tormentors' opponents quickly ran into the ring to attack them in a fit of rage but The Tormentors instantly killed him as well.
Because of this incident, the two weren't allowed to participate in the tournament and were arrested for a short period of time, however, when the Next Generation travelling back in time caused a second Universal Tag Team Tournament to be held so The Tormentors escaped prison and renamed their team to the Carpet Bombings so they could compete.
Kinnikuman Nisei[]
The Carpet Bombings would easily survive the qualifying battle royal because of the Five Disasters and Hell Expansions easily killing and mutilating enough teams. The Carpet Bombings would be lucky enough to skip the first round.
When it came time for the second round, the Carpet Bombings were the second team to be able to choose their slot. Ortega and Moaidon agreed to choose the slot next to The Machineguns, wanting to kill the winners of the first Universal Tag Team Tournament to show off their skills to the world.
Later that night, Ortega and Moaidon would met up by a cliff by the ocean to determine their battle plan for dealing with two of the strongest Chojin in the world. In the end, the two agreed to exploit the kindness and friendship of their opponents, knowing that The Machineguns value that the most. They also made the prediction that Kinnikuman would have the bone that was made of Buffaloman's horn removed to give back to Buffaloman.
On the day of their match, Moaidon and Ortega request that the match be a death match where the ring would be placed on top of a large structure and the only way to win would be to throw the other team off to their deaths. After they saw Kinnikuman wince in pain after putting a minor amount of pressure on his arm, the Carpet Bombings knew that their prediction was correct.
During their match, the Carpet Bombings would repeatedly attack Kinnikuman's boneless arm, causing an immense amount of pain and opening the surgical scar and stitching. They almost managed to beat Kinnikuman until he switched with Terryman who started beating on the two with his immense strength and tenacity.
Eventually, Ortega would throw Terryman into Moaidon's Liar Mouth, the open mouth on Moaidon's which closes every time Terryman answers a question truthfully. Because Terryman is a Justice Chojin, he answers the questions honestly and almost gets crushed to death until Kinnikuman manages to reach over and tag in before quickly pulling him out of the Liar Mouth.
The Carpet Bombings would struggle against Kinnikuman until they damaged his arm enough that the wound fully opened, revealing his lack of a bone in his forearm to everyone. They would take advantage of this by shoving Kinnikuman into the Liar Mouth, without a second arm to support himself and Terryman unconscious, Kinnikuman was stuck in the Liar Mouth. Ortega and Moaidon would ask Kinnikuman negative questions about his past to break his spirit along with his body. Kinnikuman would answer them all honestly, almost getting crushed until he answered that he hated Mantaro Kinniku the most, something Kinnikuman believes in his head but not deep in his heart which made it a lie and the Liar Mouth opened.
When Kinnikuman leapt out, Ortega would try to force the Liar Mouth closed, slamming it on Kinnikuman's boneless arm and trapping him in place for Ortega to attack from behind. Once Kinnikuman used his Burning Inner Strength and struggled to get his arm free, he would stimulate the natural regeneration of his body, allowing him to regrow the missing bone in his arm before slamming Moaidon against the ground to free himself.
Once this happened and Terryman woke up, the Carpet Bombings would be subjected to The Machineguns tag team move, the Muscle Docking. This knocked both of the Carpet Bombings out of the ring and they fell several stories to the ground, getting either knocked out or killed in the process before their bodies were carried away on stretchers.
