History[]
Miraculous World: Shanghai - The Legend of Lady Dragon[]
Prior to the events of the special, Cash, for reasons unknown, became obsessed with acquiring Wu Shifu's kung-fu school and the land on which it was built; secretly containing the Sacred Cave, the hidden location of the ancient Prodigious gem. To force Wu into selling, he began bribing and driving off his students, resulting in Wu having to guard the Prodigious alone, until he was able to adopt Fei, a girl mysteriously dropped on his school's doorstep. As Wu began training Fei in the ways of Kung Fu and to become his successor as guardian, Cash and his thugs continued to harass them, until finally killing Wu and burning his school to the ground. He would subsequently steal the Sacred Cave Key from Fei as she slept, selling it off to Nathalie Sancoeur for a large sum of money. Determined to avenge her father's death and recover the Cave Key, Fei began pursuing Wu's killer, ironically coming to work for Cash, who offered to give her information about the man who killed her father if she began stealing things for him to sell at his pawn shop, Cash's Antiques.
In the present, Fei approaches Cash at his pawn shop after robbing Marinette Dupain-Cheng of her valuables. Cash deems the items as "useless", but when he thinks that some things, like her phone, earrings, and ID card are valuable, he sends Fei out to bring Marinette to Cash, to buy it for very high prices. After Fei brought Marinette to the pawn shop, Cash asked way too much, in which Fei was smart enough and switched the real earrings with fake ones. Later, when he goes to check of what value they are, he sees that he has been duped, and sends his thugs after them. After a while, he goes after them as well, and followed them to Wu's old dojo, in which he wanted to force Marinette into calling her uncle for the money. After Fei saved Marinette, Cash decides to threaten her, but Fei resists.
Driven by greed, Hawk Moth infects his hand fan with an akuma and turns him into King Cash, a fan-wilding and very acrobatic supervillain that can slice through anything and can turn anything his fan touches into gold. He then assists Hawk Moth into the cave, assisting him to get a treasure Hawk Moth promises him. However, Mei Shi, the guardian of the Prodigious encounters them, and refuses to let them go further. Hawk Moth then orders King Cash to turn it to gold. However, Ladybug and Fei followed them into the cave, and King Cash decides to fight them, and beats them up quite bad. Fei then becomes Ladydragon, and when Cat Noir arrives, his fan was broken, and he was de-evilized. He was then tied up.
After a fight to protect Shanghai, Ladydragon turns back into Fei and Cash tries to trayed for his freedom. Instead, Fei unties him, but belittles him, and tells them that while he was driven by greed, Fei wasn't going to be driven by vengeance, and took him to be tried for his crimes, He was then presumably sent to prison for his crimes.
Miraculous World: New York – United Heroez[]
In the post-credits sequence of this special, Cash makes a cameo appearance, being shown engaging in a shady deal in an alley, implying that he escaped his imprisonment in Shanghai and relocated his operations to New York. Eagle and Uncanny Valley observe Cash and prepare to stop him, only to be interrupted by the Monk, seeking to reclaim the Eagle Miraculous. It is unknown what happened to Cash afterwards.
Appearance[]
As a civilian[]
Cash is a man with short grey and black hair that sticks out a bit over the middle of his forehead and thick black eyebrows. His eyes are dark brown and have lines above them. He has a large nose and usually wears an evil-looking smirk on his face. His outfit consists of a white button-up shirt with buttons on either side, white slim-fitting pants, and white dress shoes. He also wears a pendant around his neck, and always carries around a white fan decorated with an intricate red and yellow pattern.
As King Cash[]
Cash's Akumatized form, King Cash, is a terracotta warrior made of a golden metallic substance. He is clad in golden armor with shoulder pads and what appears to be a clock with Chinese letters on his chest. His fan, which is his Akumatized object, has now turned silver and gold, and his hair is now styled in a traditional Chinese bun.
Personality[]
Cash is a dishonest, greedy and manipulative person who believes money to be the only thing that matters in the world, and is willing to do anything gain as much of it as possible, even going as far as to send his thugs to take the Ladybug Miraculous back forcefully from Marinette and Fei after She stole it back from him, and later threatening to kill Fei if Marinette doesn't call her uncle Wang Cheng and ask him to give Cash his money. He enjoys capitalizing on items that are beloved by specific people, as he believes that such items will bring him the most money.
As King Cash, Cash still retains his greedy nature and desires to do anything in order to get the "fortune" promised to him by Hawk Moth, but he is also now much more aggressive, taking pleasure in fighting Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Ladydragon with Hawk Moth, and generally using his powers to hurt people.
Powers and abilities[]
As a civilian[]
Cash is very manipulative, most notably manipulating Fei and possibly other people into stealing for him. He owns his own shop, and makes quite a lot of money, implying that he has great business expertise.
As King Cash[]
King Cash has superhuman strength, agility, and durability, and can use his fan to slice through anything and summon crystal blades. It is implied that he also has the ability to turn people into gold, although this is never actually shown.

Trivia[]
- After the Dormant Sentimonster and Techno-Pirate, he is the third character in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir to be a villain before being Akumatized. Unlike the former two, he was neither a supervillain nor possessed any superpowers before he was Akumatized.
- In terms of the series' timeline, Cash is the first villain to be akumatized by Hawk Moth, as the special is set before/during Season 3.
- It is implied that "Cash" is merely an alias rather than his given name, since Chinese characters cannot form the name "Cash". As his name references his greed, this is made even more likely.
- It is unknown why Cash wanted to acquire Wu Shifu's school and the surrounding land, as he is shown to be unaware of the Sacred Cave and the Prodigous gem. Presumably, he wished only to acquire Wu Shifu's valuables, such as the Sacred Cave Key, for himself, knowing they would be profitable.
