Cassandra was the mastermind behind the X2 Virus, and the main antagonist in BattleTanx: Global Assault. She released the virus to kill off all women who were not Edge sensitive like herself. Cassandra is also very interested in Brandon Spade for his latent Edge powers. Her forces also have Annihilator tanks at their disposal.
History[]
Before and during the Storm[]
Virtually nothing is known about Cassandra's past except that she had always been a wunderkind since she was a little girl. She is a mysteriously devious women who with her vast intelligence specializing in warfare, virology, the human genome, master manipulator who has used her wits and seductive looks to earn her way through the highest brass of many institutions. She is at best a highly intelligent psychotic megalomaniac. Her ruthlessness has gained her untold amounts of wealth and access to avenues unknown to the general population.
It is unknown how Cassandra discovered the power of Edge whether it was given to her by the mysterious Red Man or if she created it herself. However, it can be assumed that she was naturally susceptible to its gifts for already being a masterful social engineer and a cunning strategist. In her hunger for absolute power and disdain for current society, she develops the X2 virus. A virus that contains traces of Edge and will kill off any female who isn't genetically equipped to its power. Although, an experiment was shown that some women can survive X2, those women were rendered sterile by its symptoms and effects. It was also theorized that a very small percent of men may be susceptible to Edge. However, the theory remained unproven.
Once the X2 virus was complete, she murdered her scientific team and introduced X2 to the global population. As she estimated, millions of have died and nations across the globe fell into anarchy with men taking to the streets, killing one another, militaries killing citizens, the quarantine of living women and the eventual nuclear war.
Her reasons were to overthrow what she believed to be a sick patriarchal society that was long overdue for an apocalypse. In this new era, she would rule the entire globe and create a new race of human beings infused with Edge under her total dominance.
During the ensuing global epidemic and chaos, she amassed followers and they all survived World War III emerging out of the bunkers. These followers were the surviving women who lived through X2 but became sterile and men who sought refuge. These survivors eventually became he personal workforce. Cassandra reveled in the mass genocide which brought her great pleasure to see people senselessly killing one another and destroying themselves.
She continued her operations after the war and kept note of all the happenings around the world. While some continents were completely decimated and irradiated, others contained pockets of survivors that either became parts of gangs, tribes, or neutral. She kept a very close eye at a certain man who amassed an army of his own and rode through the American wasteland, on a crusade to liberate his fiancé as well as the other men who had wives, girlfriends, daughters who were captured by the government. That man was Griffin Spade. Cassandra was impressed at his leadership, his battle prowess in the tank and how he and his army decimated gangs which included The Dark Alliance.
Off the bat, she knew that Griffin had been susceptible to Edge as well as his fiancé, Madison, being completely immune to the X2 and having the latent power of Edge. The theory of an Edge-infused male was finally proven. Cassandra waited patiently, keeping the occasional tabs throughout the reconstruction of San Francisco to the eventual birth of Griffin's and Madison's son, Brandon.
Years later, Cassandra formed a secret alliance with the gangs in America and Europe for her ultimate plan. On that fateful night in 2006, Cassandra along with the Dark Angels launched an attack on San Francisco.

San Francisco Invasion[]
The invasion and subsequent takeover of San Francisco began after Cassandra had spotted Griffin, Madison, and little Brandon having a family moment behind one of their tanks on the bridge. It was then revealed that Griffin and Madison were adept to the Edge, and Brandon was a prodigy in waiting.

Cassandra gathers her forces
Later that night, Cassandra gathered her forces and took SF head on. However, Griffin had a vision of this disaster and was headed off to battle. Realizing her impending defeat, she released the Edge upon Griffins units, turning them against him and his family and forcing them to retreat east.
Brandon's Capture[]
Cassandra kidnaps Brandon with intentions of stealing his power for herself. Griffon and Madison fight Cassandra's thugs in California, Texas and Washington D.C., before retreating to her bases in France and Germany.
The Final Assault[]
Cassandra takes her final refuge at Alcatraz island, where she climbs into a tank with the capability to turn invisible. She is killed, but the final scene of the ending shows a mysterious man calling her "the chosen one". Through magic, he then brings her back to life.

Cassandra's slave fortress is where the experiments were done on Edge-sensitive individuals.
Europe[]
Cassandra kept many allies and bases in Europe, most notably the Eiffel Tower and Brandenburg Gate compounds.
Gang Relationships[]
Whether by friendly greeting or Edge wave, Cassandra has the upper hand when it comes to making allies where it counts.
- Shadow Ops - An evil empire needs a spy network, and a spy network needs administrators and operatives.
- Dark Angels - Because a simple cult will do anything to try and be even close to powerful. They've proven to be resilient like the roaches they are.
- Skull Riderz - Bikers like their territory, why not give it to them in exchange for something more? Also, like the Dark Angels, they survived Griffin's onslaught.
- Crimson Guard - They need a "Queen" after all. Since the old matriarchs of British rule (and all of the royal family) has been removed from the gene pool, Cassandra is viewed as a true Queen by them.
- Storm Ravens - Women gotta stick together. Literally didn't take much convincing on her part since Cassandra catered to their beliefs that men were responsible for the apocalypse.
- Les Misérables - Giving them something other to do than drugs. This gang of orphaned children and sterile women have been brainwashed by Cassandra and see her as their new mother.
- Cold Warriors - How Cassandra was able to get complete cooperation from this hoard of irradiated ghoul-like war mongers is beyond even the most feared gang in Europe. Though, it's easy to entice even the most deranged and feral group with a little bit of Edge.

- The ending suggests that Cassandra was intended to appear in the third game in the BattleTanx series. However, the project was cancelled before release.
