Cassandra is the main antagonist of the 1999 Flash game Pico's School. She is a student responsible for a school shooting that resulted in the death of many students and a teacher, but was eventually defeated by Pico.
Biography[]
Pico's School[]
Little is known about Cassandra's past, except that she was an alien called Penilian from an unknown planet.
In the intro of Pico's School, Cassandra comes with a gun, claims that the "American education system is bull%!$^" and opens fire, killing several students and a teacher. Pico then fights his way to Cassandra including her minions.
Later, Cassandra confronts Pico, as she kills two goths (who were assumingly her allies) and transforms into her grotesque true form, as she lets out a huge roar, Pico then takes her out after a battle during the climax as the walls behind Cassandra revealing the police arrived to investigate and began shooting in the background, during a lengthy shootout, Cassandra let out an anguish pain due to her genitals (being her weak spot) being destroyed, leaving her to die of blood loss shortly after.
Gameplay[]
Upon facing Cassandra, she will throw barrels or fire a projectiles from her eyes which to prevent it is to shoot them.
Pico's School: Love Conquers All[]
In the April Fools' game Pico's School: Love Conquers All, the game starts off as normal. Cassandra would attempt to start the shooting, but Pico revealed that he shares the same her interest in punk music. The two go for a walk and redeem the rest of the Goth Punks, revealing their true selves. After redeeming the Goth Punks, Pico asks why she wanted to shoot up the school. She was afraid or angry at humans for them being homophobic, knowing that Penilians are naturally gay. Pico explains that not all humans are homophobic, saying that some are actually gay but are trying to deny it.
Within explaining that not all humans are homophobic, Pico introduces his boyfriend. They all agree to take her to a cultural museum. However, Cassandra reveals that she is a furry who enjoys NSFW artwork, which leads Pico and his boyfriend to be shocked.

Cassandra appears in the fanmade remake of Pico’s School, where the same scenario plays out with improved graphics.
Cassandra originally appeared as an opponent in the Flash game Pico Roulette, until it was replaced by the Flash game Pico vs The Uberkids, where Cassandra appears as one of the playable characters in the game now.
Cassandra appears in the background of the fighting game Newgrounds Rumble in her Penilian form. However, she doesn't effect the gameplay.
Cassandra was confirmed to appear in the Flash game Friday Night Funkin’ by the game's artist PhantomArcade. As of now, it's unknown what role she will have. She does, however, appear in the background of Week 5 in the first pitstop update.
Appearance[]
In her human form, she has short red hair with two points at the front (comparable to demon horns) and white eyes. She wears a red sweater, a grey jacket, and boots with red soles and yellow upside-down crosses. She also has short red nails, wears red lipstick on her bottom lip, and carries a gun in her right hand and a small dark gray book with a yellow pentagram on it in her left.
In her final form, she becomes a giant black alien with two large fangs, big yellow eyes, a grey collar, and her original clothing minus the yellow crosses. She also visibly sports a penis, which serves as her weak spot.
Trivia[]
- At the beginning of the game, Cassandra shouts "enough of this crap!". This is a reference to Eric Harris, one of the Columbine school shooters, who posted lyrics of KMFDM's Stray Bullet on his personal website.
- The band's political stance may have influenced Cassandra, as themes of anti-fascism are present. Ironically, there's a lot more songs by them that are anti-war and anti-violence.
- According to Cyclops, Cassandra has a crush on Pico, which is why he isn't dead at the start of the game.
- Despite being the main antagonist, Cassandra has very little screen-time as she was only seen three times (first in the intro, then in the beginning of the fight against Alucard, and finally at the end of the game).
- She is one of the few Newgrounds' main antagonists to have little screen-time.
- Cassandra makes a cameo appearance in Newgrounds Rumble.
- Cassandra is confirmed to appear in the popular 2021 Flash game Friday Night Funkin'. Her role in the story is currently unknown.
- PhantomArcade, the main artist for said game, posted a sketch on Twitter of her and Nene kissing. Whether this means Cassandra and Nene are or were actually a couple in the FNF universe or if this is merely a joke has yet to be confirmed.
- Although Cassandra claims that her species are all the same sex and homosexuals, this is only stated in Pico's School: Love Conquers All, which is set in an alternative universe and which is just Pico's School's April Fools' update. It is unknown whether the same thing applies to the original Pico's School game.
- Cyclops saying she has a crush on Pico further debunks this. However, it is possible that Cassandra is a rare case amongst her species and is bisexual.
- In the fan-made Flash game Pico's Cousin, the main antagonist is a male Penilian called Damien.
- In the fighting game Indie Game Battle, Pico has a skin that resembles Cassandra, with her red hair and matching outfit colors.
