Deal Makers are people or other beings (usually Demons or Deities) who make Faustian bargains with people. They usually hold up their end of the bargain by helping the victim gain their desire in some way, and the victim is usually very happy with what the villain has given him/her until they need to pay back their end of the deal (usually their soul or something else very important to them). However, while it is common for villains to turn on their partners, it is also possible for villains, usually the more Honorable ones, to hold up their end of the deal without necessarily turning on them, although they are more rare.
Deal Makers can also be villains who invite the hero to join them or give offers of "mercy" that are actually worse than death in many instances (for example offering to spare a person's life but only if said person becomes a slave to their whims).
They also can be Crooks and Businessmen who provide propositions to other people (including other villains) that can benefit them both, in the case of criminals and some corrupt authorities they can also bribe people with money, food or promises of other rewards - usually these bribes are not honored but in some cases they are (especially with Lawful Evil types).
