Antagonists from a media subgenre known as Exploitation - often controversial and dealing with taboo subject matter it often merges with horror stories, dark comedies and adult entertainment; it was especially prominent during a period known as the "Video Nasty era" spawning titles that continue to be seen due to their (intentionally-)controversial content. Exploitation media is often banned but that which gets released usually becomes cult-favorites amongst a small dedicated subgroup.

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY THE MEDIA SHOULD BE WELL-KNOWN FOR ITS CONTROVERSIAL CONTENT which is often amplified in order to invoke a phenomena known as "Refuge In Audacity". South Park is perhaps one of the the best examples of a modern and mainstream exploitation series still available to the public; other shows have since tried to improve upon its success with increasingly outrageous antics.

Perfect examples of Exploitation Villains are Peter Griffin, Eric Cartman and Light Yagami.

Also by its very nature almost all Internet trolling-related phenomena is a type of Exploitation media; these can often be even more taboo due to greater difficulty in censoring the Internet. Their opposites are Controversial or Exploitation Heroes.

NOTE: A few Villains from this genre do not qualify as Pure Evil as they are from disturbing media made to shock audiences but it is still possible for them to count if they meet all standards and criteria.
