~ Joker enticing Gordon to let go of his sanity. |
Villains who drive others insane either through superpowers, concentrated efforts or even both. Mind-Breakers may do this for evil goals in mind or sometimes even out of pure sadism. Many villains can cause insanity by supernatural means, some evil brainwashers or psychics can drive people insane with their power, and torturers can force a person to go into madness.
These villains differ from Psychological Abusers in terms of severity, although they can very easily overlap. If a villain successfully drives someone into insanity, or at the very least; a severe broken state. Then they can qualify for this category as well. Good examples include; It (Stephen King), Slender Man, Bellatrix Lestrange, Kai Chisaki and many versions of the Joker.
