“ | our reports showed a massive anomaly in the timespace continuum. timelines jumping left and right, stopping and starting... until suddenly, everything ends. heh heh heh… that's your fault, isn't it? you can't understand how this feels, knowing that one day, without any warning... it's all going to be reset. | „ |

Villains whose stories have had multiple versions/adaptations and whose fates have differed in some of the different versions. For instance, Audrey II survives and wins in the original play and director's cut versions of Little Shop of Horrors but is killed in the changed theatrical movie ending and Joker has died in Batman (1989), Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, The Dark Knight Returns and Batman: Arkham City but lives in the comics. "Version" can also refer to legacy villains, who have obviously had more than one identity and therefore a different fate depending on which interpretation it is; this is especially prominent in cases where a villain dies and another character takes up their identity, like with different versions of the Mask.
- NOTE: For villains whose source story had adaptations, this category shall only qualifies if their status deviated from their source materials greatly in the adaptation's continuity. If the villains' status is the same in both/all versions, or if the adaptation is still ONGOING and the villains' final fate in the adaptation is still on hold, it shouldn't count until/unless the adaptation's continuity stated otherwise.
