Villains with alternate versions and/or interpretations with different characteristics of their original selves. These can range from Villains with (re)incarnations from other universes, legacies and/or ensembles meaning they can be reimagined depending on stories or adapted into different forms of media.

Not to be confused with Status Dependent on Version. That refers to what happens to the villain, and is a subcategory of this.

These villains can be Pure Evil if their counterpart is much worse than their original, who are not Pure Evil, though both original AND counterpart versions of the same villain(s) can be Pure Evil if they possess clear moral agency and meet the criteria, even if their goals are similar from one another.
