Villains who are relatively weak in strength. Unlike the Incompetent Villain, a Weakling may have truly evil goals that can cause massive destruction or chaos forcing a hero to face the Weakling whereas an Incompetent Villain is more likely to ruin their own plans. The best example for a Weakling is Yu Yevon. Yu Yevon was the being controlling Sin and thus caused massive death over a thousand years, but once Tidus and Yuna faced him, he was very easy for players to defeat, being nearly impossible to lose to.
