I must admit that I am quite puzzled to see villains who make cameo in fighting games, like Darth Vader in Soul Calibur, being listed in this category. Do we need to restrict for villains created for video game stories or is it fine to list here the villains from other media that were adapted into video games? I am not sure but this question has been bugging me for quite some time. Balthus Dire 19:35, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

This is a good question. Technically, people like Darth Vadar and Eric Harris could be considered Video Game Villains. However, I think this category is becoming too flooded with too many characters by this technicality. Villains like Joker from Arkham City should stay on this category due to the sheer fact that it is a popular game. But that's just my thoughts. Tremorfan94

We should create separate articles for each major incarnation of the Joker, keeping the main one strictly to the comics besides linking the media versions. Moleman 9000 21:37, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

Joker, in my view, should be Joker (Animated) / Joker (Movie) and Joker (Films) - I don't know, maybe Joker (Video Games) could be added (heck, we have MANY Robotniks so why not Joker?) Inferno Pendragon 22:27, June 12, 2012 (UTC)

Why was the "only add characters originating from video games" rule that used to be here removed? BrutalBear98 (talk) 14:34, August 21, 2018 (UTC)
