The Cats are the titular main protagonists and mascots of The Battle Cats franchise. They are an army of cats that takes over the world and later the past, the future, and the universe.
Appearance[]
Basic cats are white cats with spherical bodies, four triangular legs and black dot-shaped eyes. Although they have no tail, through their evolved and true forms they gain two muscular human hands and a black mohawk. Most other cats look similar, although with different (usually anthropomorphic/humanoid) body form.
Biography[]
The Battle Cats were created as a weapon during the time of global issues such as civil wars, terrorism, financial crises. In a TV interview, their developer said that the new weapon is cats because he likes cats.
They started taking over the world and the internet, with the humanity being unable to stop them due to their cuteness. After taking over the world, they used all the nuclear power plants to travel in the past and free the Legendary Cats of the past.
After taking over the past, they traveled to the future to take over the world after an alien invasion. Following this, they created a rocket to take over the entire universe.
They accidentally travel to an even more distant past following the events in the Stories of Legend, freeing the ancestors of the Legend Cats and defeating humanity's ancestors, travelling to the Zero World after an ancient god tells them to find a sage from another world.
Thanks to Empress Cat's research, the Cats travel to the Aku Realms and take it over, foiling the Dark Priest Mamon's plot to resurrect the God of Destruction Jagando, while also taking the Lord of Ruin's egg.
A lot of Lore is also revealed in the Cat Guide and Enemy Guide descriptions for cats and their enemies.
