The Cave Spider Queen is the main antagonist of the AvM Shorts Season 1 finale, "Cave Spider Roller Coaster". She later returns as one of two main antagonists (alongside the Wither King) of the Actual Shorts episode "You Shall Not Pass".
True to her title, she is the queen and supreme ruler of a gang of cave spiders who orders her soldiers to capture prey for her. After the events of her debut episode, she has allied with the Wither that she previously fought, and decided to hunt down and kill the Stick Gang.
Appearance[]
The Cave Spider Queen, as suggested by her grand title, is a visually extraordinary cave spider. Although she is considerably larger than them, her general anatomy is of course impeccably exact to the rest of her species. She has a bi-segmented black body with a large head, 6 red eyes, and 8 long legs. On her head lays a large gold crown to further symbolize her status as ruler.
History[]
AvM Shorts - "Cave Spider Roller Coaster"[]
As the Second Coming and his friends are searching a Nether portal, he, Red and Yellow are kidnapped by cave spiders while Green and Blue come to the rescue. They see the Cave Spider Queen eating the offerings from her minions, with Green purposefully distracting the cave spiders while Blue rescues their friends. The Stick Gang is chased by the army, but manage to escape through slaughtering them all. Once a normal cave spider alarms the queen of how their army has been destroyed, she chases them herself. Cornering them right when they are about to enter a Nether portal, the Cave Spider Queen easily defeats Green, Red, Blue and Yellow and prepares to kill the Second Coming. However, a Wither goes through the Nether portal, with no explanation from where it came from, and begins fighting the queen. The Second Coming and his friends manage to go through the portal and get back home.
Off-screen, the Cave Spider Queen manages to not only survive her fight with the Wither, but also befriend him (perhaps even more). The Wither becomes a Wither King that gains an army of Wither Skeletons, and teams up with the Cave Spider Queen to hunt down and kill the Stick Gang.
Actual Shorts - "You Shall Not Pass"[]
The Cave Spider Queen and Wither King chase the Stick Gang throughout a cave, leading their respective armies, until they confront Yellow - who has since gained a staff with a command block equipped onto it - on a bridge. After blocking the monarchy's attacks, Yellow parodies the famous "You Shall Not Pass!" scene from The Lord of the Rings by summoning a command that makes the whole bridge collapse: The Spider Queen falls down into the abyss below, taking the Wither King down with her (who had one of her webs attached to one of his faces). As the duo falls down, the Spider Queen sends out one last web in an attempt to take Yellow down with her, sending him plummeting into the abyss, but he manages to rescue himself by using the staff to fly upwards.
Just like before, the Spider Queen and Wither King's fates remain inconclusive and it's unknown if they survived the fall.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Poison: As a cave spider, the Queen can inflict the Potion status effect onto people. Its stronger than its original counterpart, sending the Stick Gang comatose in seconds, and is presumably not lethal like the original.
- Fighting skills: The Queen is strong enough to battle the whole Stick Gang - skilled swordsmen which took down entire armies - at once and defeat them all.
- Enhanced durability: The Queen's durability is far beyond that of a normal cave spider, shrugging off being stabbed and shot with several arrows.
- Webs: As a spider, the Queen can shoot out webs out of her arms and mouth.
- Wallcrawling: Being a spider, the Queen can crawl on walls.
- Leadership: The queen is in charge of a large army of cave spiders, one that becomes even larger and includes Wither Skeletons upon her alliance with the Wither King.

Trivia[]
- The Cave Spider Queen is one of the few villains whose fate remains unknown.
- As of June 9, "Cave Spider Roller Coaster", the queen's debut, is the most viewed Minecraft video on YouTube, with over 400m views.
- The fact the offerings for the queen aren't seen later on where a cave spider alarms her of their defeat implies that she ate them all off-screen.
- The Wither appearing to fight the queen was supposed to be a Jurassic Park reference, where the Tyrannosaurux rex saved the protagonists from a pack of Velociraptors. Additionally, there is no known reason behind his existence or who made him, and his only known motive is that he wanted a good fight.
- Given how they both wear crowns, command the same army and the fact one's a queen while the other is a king, it's possible the Cave Spider Queen and Wither King are in a relationship. The queen's webs latching onto one of the king's heads could be interpreted as a spaghetti kiss.
- Because the Cave Spider Queen survived the Wither's attack, it's clear she was killed off-screen when King Orange sucked all of Minecraft into a black hole, only to be resurrected once his actions were undone.
