“ | Kabbu: Just give it up! There's a reason Maki refused your application! Pisci: What would he know? Y'all are just the Queen's lapbugs! No one has the right to tell us we can't explore! Vi: ...I get how you feel. But...the answer wasn't to become criminals! It was to train and become stronger, so you could do the dangerous stuff! Cenn: Don't lecture us! We'll see who needs to get stronger after this! |

~ Cenn and Pisci refusing to surrender to Team Snakemouth and initiating the fight. |
Cenn and Pisci are minor antagonists of the 2019 role-playing video game Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling. They are the duo of thugs who attempted to impersonate the exploration team and abuse their "authority" for self-benefit, sometimes even resorting to brute force when their plans fail.
Biography[]
Cenn and Pisci were the duo of troublemakers who once wished to form exploration team, but their dream was denied by Maki, who refused to grant them the explorer permit. In response, they turned to life of crime and forged the fake permit to impersonate the exploration team and abuse their "rank" to take items from others.
In the optional sidequest "Explorer Check!", they were harassing Amber, worker of the Ant Storage Service, and tried to force her to give them items for free, but were caught by Gen and Eri, who almost believed that Cenn and Pisci were the real exploration team and had to call Team Snakemouth for confirmation. Once Team Snakemouth had arrived and checked their permit, they immediately identified it as false, since it lacked its signature crystals, so Cenn and Pisci decided to resort to brute force. Halfway through the battle, when Team Snakemouth had the upper hand, Cenn and Pisci fled the battle and escaped to their hideout near the Explorers' Association.
Team Snakemouth, Gen and Eri had concluded that, since their permit was easy to identify as fake, they would try to steal the real one. Later, they catch Cenn and Pisci in their hideout, and, with no options, the two ruffians chose to fight them to the last breath. Team Snakemouth attempted to reason with them, with Vi trying to relate to them, but to no avail, as they initiate the fight. After defeat, Cenn and Pisci try to escape for the last time, but were thwarted by Gen and Eri, who set up the sleep bomb trap, sedating them, ready to be apprehended. With their stolen goods and false permit confiscated, Cenn and Pisci were shipped off to be judged and were locked up in the Rubber Prison.
If defeated before Chapter 6, they would later be encountered in the Rubber Prison, occupated by the Wasp Kingdom. Despite the fact that the Wasps were willing to employ prisoners to cause mayhem, or that Cenn and Pisci themselves could've simply used the ruckus to escape the prison or have revenge on Team Snakemouth, they instead choose to stay put in their cells and serve out their sentence, implying the repentance in their villainy (though Pisci, when talked to, states that they are still not happy to see Team Snakemouth again).
Bestiary Entries[]
Cenn[]
“ | Born in the Golden Settlement, Cenn always found his peaceful town to be a big bore. After moons of pranking the villagers, he moved to the Ant Kingdom and met Pisci. His dreams of forming a rascal team were shut down by Maki, and he resorted to petty vandalism. Hopefully some time behind bars will help him rehabilitate... | „ |

“ | Maki's judgment was correct. You're not ready to be an explorer! It's not only to gain riches, but to help others! Now, let's count up your sins! | „ |

Pisci[]
“ | Pisci always felt out of place in the orderly Ant Kingdom. After meeting Cenn, she truly blossomed into a troublemaker. Her new lifestyle was cut short when Maki rejected their team, and Team Snakemouth caught them harassing Amber. Maybe after her sentence is up, she'll go back to a quiet life. | „ |

“ | You're making this more difficult than it needs to be. The first step to being forgiven is apologizing! O-Oof, that rock got me in the horn... That's it! I'm crushing you and your rocks! | „ |
~ Kabbu's spy notes on Pisci. |
“ | Oi, you can't solve your problems throwing rocks at us!...I didn't say that so you'd build a wall! ...Whatever, the Beemerang goes around it... | „ |

“ | Your inexperience shines through. You're really dealing with this whole thing the wrong way. Doesn't seem like you're willing to listen... Our ice will sneak past your defenses. | „ |

Trivia[]
- When their names are paired with Gen and Eri, they form "Generic NPC".
- As mentioned above, Cenn and Pisci make no attempt to escape the prison, implying that they actually want to learn their lesson. The fact that one gets a permanent attack boost when the other is defeated also implies that they care for each other.
