~ Heimdall explains that Cerberus always bows before Hades. |
Cerberus is a minor antagonist in the manga/anime series Record of Ragnarok.
He is a supporting antagonist in the Fourth Round and a minor antagonist in the Seventh Round of the Ragnarok Tournament.
Cerberus is the Greek Demon guardian of Helheim, as well as the 12th and final Labor that Heracles had to face to become a Demigod. Heracles summons Cerberus to help him during the Fourth Round of the Ragnarok Tournament against Jack the Ripper.
Appearance[]
Cerberus is a huge, three-headed dog-like Demon, with sharp teeth and claws, and dark red fur. All three heads have five eyes in total. His tail is made up of many snakes.
Personality[]
Cerberus is a ferocious and savage Demon. However, when confronted with someone more powerful than him, he becomes very obedient, as he always bows to Hades. He can also be servile, given that when Heracles asks for his help Cerberus comes immediately.
Biography[]
Cerberus is the Greek Demon guardian of Helheim, and as such he is a servant of Hades and, every time he meets his master, he bows before him. At a certain point, in his journey to overcome the Twelve Labors and become a Demigod, Alcides, the future Heracles, faces Cerberus and manages to defeat him, subjugating him to him.
Millennia later, during the Fourth Round of the Ragnarok Tournament, Heracles uses the Twelfth Labor as his last resort and summons Cerberus to the battlefield, fusing with him. In the end though, it's their opponent Jack the Ripper to win the fight by killing Heracles in the process, which consequently leads to the death of Cerberus as well by being fused to Heracles.
Powers and Abilities[]
Demon Strength and Endurance: As a Demon, Cerberus possesses physical abilities far greater than most Humans and he is very powerful, although not enough to defeat warriors like Hades and Heracles. Furthermore, being a Demon, Cerberus cannot age and does not feel the passage of time.
Fusion: Cerberus can fuse with other living beings to make them stronger, although it is likely that he can only do this with those who have been able to defeat him, such as Heracles. However, Fusion includes side effects, since Cerberus continuously drains the life force of the one he fuses with, and if the user does not eliminate the opponent in time he will be consumed by them until he dies.
