Cha-Cha is a minor antagonist in the comic The Umbrella Academy and one of the secondary antagonists in it's TV show adaptation. An assassin, she works with Hazel to stop to apocalypse.
In the Netflix adaptation, she is portrayed by Mary J. Blige who had played Evillene in the 2015 NBC live musical telecast The Wiz.
In the original comics, Cha-Cha is a male assassin who kills people who "mess with the timeline". With a love for sugary foods and being very strong and durable, he tinkers with the idea to leave the assassin life behind, and has a eye for Agnes, a waitress in the doughnut shop he likes to go to. These qualities are given to Hazel in the TV show. In the comics, they both meet their end when Klaus possesses one of them to shoot the other, before turning the gun on the possessed member.
In the TV show, Cha-Cha is a female assassin who, with Hazel, kills people by traveling through times.
- In the TV adaptation, Cha-Cha's gender is changed and her mask is switched with Hazel's. It it unknown why this change happened.
