Chain Chompikins is a major antagonist in the 2017 platformer game Super Mario Odyssey.
It is Madame Broode's pet Chain Chomp who aids her in her schemes. It is always seen with Madame Broode and is fought alongside her during her boss fights.
Biography[]
Chain Chompikins is first encountered at the top of Fossil Falls with its owner Madame Broode. Chain Chompikins rushes straight at Mario during the boss encounter, and Madame Broode advances in small steps. Chain Chompikins pauses to a stop after moving through Mario, unlike regular Chain Chomps. Cappy knocks off its hat and exposes itself to capture when it strikes Broode's Chain Chomp. Chain Chompikins works similarly to Big Chain Chomps when he is captured.Chain Chompikins is launched back in the opposite direction when he pulls back and lets go. Mario can only harm Madame Broode in this method, which also frees it from capture.
Madame Broode is encountered once again in the Underground Moon Cavern. It's slightly harder to fight since now it's wearing 3 hats.
