The Chainsaw Man Church for World Peace (世界平和わチェンソーマン教会 Sekaiheiwa Chensōman Kyōkai), simply known as Chainsaw Man Church, are the main antagonists of the Chainsaw Man Part 2: Academy Saga.
They are a cult formed by the Death Devil comprised of multiple members of The Horrifying Weapon Humans with the public goal of working with Chainsaw man to prevent the Nostradamus Prophecy from occurring in reality. In reality the cult's true objectives are to utilize the Fire Devil's contracts and cause as much chaos as possible to strengthen fear of Chainsaw Man and the War Devil.
Biography[]
Prior to the official formation of the cult, it appears Death Devil had begun scheming with the Fire Devil into getting humans to sign contracts with it believing it to be the Justice Devil.
Chainsaw Man Part 2: The Academy Saga[]
At some point following the Falling Devil attack on March 1998, Death under the identity of "Fami conducts a plan to strengthen fear of Chainsaw Man by re-brandinga local cult as "the Chainsaw Man church" and manipulates and elderly man and aspiring Devil hunter Haruka Iseumi into believing this church is to protect humanity while he serves as the public face of her organization. From then on Death Devil recruits Barem Bridge and tricks multiple of the cult's members into unknowingly sign contracts with the Fire Devil under the pretense of sham marriages. A Fake Chainsaw Man is also recruited into the church for credibility sake while in reality being a contractor of the Fire Devil months prior.

During a failed talk show to convice people to joing the church, Haruka is publicly embarrassed and Fami then appears talking to Haruka backstage afterward. Haruka questions her about why she had him go up there to be humiliated, to which Fami tells him that ridicule was the whole point. A mysterious figure appears behind Haruka, telling him to listen to what Fami says. According to a figure heavily implied to Barem, Haruka is to operate as the "face" of the Chainsaw Man Church while "Fami" is to operate as the "brains." "Fami" then went to 'Asa's apartment to recruit her and Yoru to the church's cause. Yoru refuses, but "Fami" shows a photo of the Chainsaw Devil, different from Denji's, making it Asa's true target. Asa questions "Fami"'s motives, referencing her involvement in past incidents, but "Fami" insists on trusting the Church.
Later Miri Sugo attempts to recruit Denji into the church as well where he meets Barem Bridge in person. However, after Barem threaten's to kill Asa in order to force Denji to turn into Chainsaw Man. Horrified, Denji walks away from the Church.
Later on, Barem is seen talking to the other hybrids about their plans to commit a terrorist attack, to force Denji into becoming Chainsaw Man again. Barem makes it clear that it doesn't matter how many people they kill tomorrow, as God will forgive them either way. The next day, the hybrids attempt to carry out this attack though Miri, Whip, and Spear are immediately stopped by Quanxi, who had since joined up with Public Safety.
Detained Barem reveals that "Fami"'s alleged true goal is to protect humanity from destruction, and the Devil she contracted the church members with is the Fire Devil. Her plans result in giving both Chainsaw Man and the War Devil a significant power boost, making them powerful enough to take on the Death Devil in the near future, seemingly unaware of her true identity. Eventually Asa and Yoru abandon the cult to rescue a captured Denji and Haruka and his associates are detained by Public Safety.
Currently in June of 1999, the cults and hybrid's status are unclear though Death Devil has continued to gather more pawns for her plan including the real Famine Devil and Fake Chainsaw Man now fully under her control.
