Dmitri Smerdyakov, better known as the Chameleon is a minor antagonist in the 2023 action-adventure superhero video game Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the third installment in Insomniac‘s Marvel’s Spider-Man series.
He is a master of disguises and the younger half-brother of Kraven, who had came to New York in his quest to hunt for worthy opponents. Chameleon had came to New York many years prior and served as one of Spider-Man's oldest foes, having impersonated even the webslinger himself.
After learning Kraven had failed to kill Spider-Man, Chameleon began to resurface where he plots to carry out his brother's legacy by defeating Spider-Man himself.
Like his brother, he was voiced by Jim Pirri, who also played Rais in Dying Light, Grimbyte in Bunnicula, Akeel Min Riah in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Clive Cross in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Angelo Bronte in Red Dead Redemption 2, The Executioner in Batwoman and Krang One in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie.

The Chameleon is a master planner and a strategist that keeps tabs on those he intends to steal their identities from. His luxurious condo suggests he is a person with esteemed class and sophisticated art. He takes great pride in his collection of masks and stolen identities, more-so than Kraven's, believing his brother's accomplishments pale in comparison to his.
His intended messages for Kraven suggested that he and his brother had a troubling relationship. Despite growing up and hunting together, Kraven hated him to the point that he didn't even want to share his name with him, despite Chameleon having given him everything he wanted when they were children. In turn, Chameleon grew to hate him and makes it clear that he will surpass him by accomplishing the one thing he failed to do, that being hunting down Spider-Man.

Chameleon had been one of Spider-Man’s enemies for years and was believed to have been putting away long ago.
Marvel’s Spider-Man[]
Spider-Man notices that someone is impersonating him after major fights had broke down in the city and civilians believed that Spider-Man himself had done it. He mistakes the fake Spider-Man as Chameleon, but was later revealed to be a young man who knows karate.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2[]
In 2021, Chameleon learns that his half-brother Kraven has came to New York to hunt down the villains and heroes, as he has cancer, and needs to have a fate from who proven to kill. Chameleon avoids any capture from Kraven and his hunters, since he has disguises.
After Spider-Man took out all the flying robot vultures, he visited a condo, which was later revealed to be Chameleon’s and learns that Kraven is his half-brother through recorded messages Chameleon left behind. After Spider-Man leaves the condo, Chameleon in disguise spies on him, and informs that he will carry out the task his brother could not by defeating Spider-Man himself.

- Chameleon’s real face has not yet been revealed as he was disguised as a Asian man. He is however seen in a picture featuring him and Kraven in their younger years, though his face is notably scratched out.
