The Charger is one of the supporting antagonists and one of the three new Special Infected introduced in "Left 4 Dead 2." He is the 2nd biggest out of the 8 Special Infected, and has the third highest health (second is the Witch, first is the Tank).

He was played by Dee Bradley Baker. who also provided the voices of the Jockey and Spitter from the same game.

Biography

The Charger is a large Special Infected who's notably known for his oversized right arm and charging ability, the Charger is known for making loud noises and yells extremely loud while he's charging at the Survivors. He has similar mutation to The Tank, both were close in height and about half as wide, they both have their mutations focus on increasing muscle mass, but unlike the Tank, he can run much faster as his legs are capable of supporting all of his weight and stands mostly upright and his mutation compare to the Tank is a little different. The Charger's mutation is mostly effected to his right arm have grown significantly and causes him lean to the right while moving, but left arm seems to have been atrophied, making it useless. He is quite effective class to use for separating the Survivors and whenever they're close to the ledge.

The Charger wears a bloodstained denim overalls with one broken strap on the right side and a green sneaker on his right foot.

Powers and Abilities

The Charger is one of the strongest Special Infected in the Left 4 Dead series, his immense arm's bulk gives him incredible strength and weight, making it so that he cannot be pushed around by the Survivors, unlike most other Infected.

The Charger's main ability is to charge in a straight like like a bull. He will grab the first victim during his charge, and any subsequent people in his way will be launched from the impact. After he is done running a certain distance or crashes into an obstacle he will hold his victim and being pummeling or throwing them against a surface.

Despite only having one functioning arm, he is still capable of climbing walls and ladders like other Infected.
