During the series, he shows himself to be very hateful, resentful and vengeful towards the Grounders who killed a large part of his group after landing on Earth. He quickly seizes power in Arkadia, becoming Chancellor and planning to annihilate the Grounders once and for all by any means possible. However, Pike is outstripped by a larger threat, A.L.I.E., and must ally with his enemies to defeat the AI.
Biography[]
Season 3[]
In Season 3, Pike and his group meet Kane, Indra, Bellamy and Monty who finds his mom, Hannah. Pike seems surprised at the good understanding between Sky People and the Grounders. Together, they go back to the Arkadia camp. There, he does not hesitate to evoke his mistrust and criticize the Grounders and becomes chancellor, supported by Bellamy and Zoe Monroe. He also breaks the alliance that made the Sky People the thirteenth clan in the coalition, shocking Kane who becomes his rival as he was in charge at first. Pike expands his territory, preventing the Grounders from surveying Arkadia's surroundings and attacks a native village, indirectly killing Monroe and a guard.
However, he sees that dissent is forming and that some Arkadians are in opposition to his actions. For this, he asks his followers not to trust their loved ones and orders the traitors to be arrested, which he does with Sinclair whom he locks in a prison with Grounders. While they try to escape, Pike captures Lincoln and executes him under the eyes of Octavia, hidden in the woods.
After which, Bellamy and Monty switch sides and Bellamy gets Pike into a cave where Kane's faction is believed to be. Pike is then, without knowing it, drawn into a blockade of Grounders and his men are neutralized. Trapped and betrayed by Bellamy, he is escorted to Polis, totally under the control of A.L.I.E. which forces the inhabitants to swallow the chip of the City of Light. There, he takes Ontari, the commander, in hostage but is quickly captured and imprisoned. In the cell, he finds John Murphy, a delinquent whom he had beaten during a class on the Ark to teach him how to fight. Pike also finds Indra, enraged, who cuts him multiple times with a stake for his crimes on Trikru.
In flashbacks, we review his past as a teacher and also wants to go to Earth to teach teenagers to survive and fight, but Chancellor Jaha refused his request. Back in the present, Murphy prevents Indra from continuing to torture Pike as it takes as many people as possible to defeat A.L.I.E. and her supporters. For this, Indra frees all the prisoners and Pike joins the resistance group against A.L.I.E.
He takes charge of watching over Polis' throne room, but Octavia, still furious with him, wounds him in the leg and the AI followers invade the room more and more. Pike then saves the life of Octavia, under attack, and Clarke activates the circuit breaker which destroys A.L.I.E. and the whole chipped population returns to normal. So, Pike gets closer to Octavia and Octavia stabs him with her sword killing Pike as revenge for Lincoln's death.
Season 6[]
Because of the Red Sun toxin on Sanctum, Octavia hallucinates Pike. He reasons her because of the bad deeds she has caused, becoming like Pike and wants redemption. Octavia then prevents Blodreina from killing Pike who disappears as she confronts her alter-ego.
