Charlie, also known as The Midnight Mangler is the main protagonist of the thriller horror film Kill Me Again.
He is a notorious serial killer known the Midnight Mangler, who is trapped and relives his night in a cafe, murdering his victims over and over again where he find the struggle and desperation to escape the loop.
He is portrayed by Brendan Fehr, who portrayed Nick in Forsaken (2001).
Biography[]
Charlie's full name has not been mentioned in the movie but he is a notorious serial killer known as The Midnight Mangler. He kills multiple people he encounter. No much history about his past. However, he do know some quotes from bible. The movie goes where he enter a cafe called Killer Kafe and encounter several people in there. His first victim in the movie is Anna, the waitress, who he creep on and try to make conversation with. After killing her, he starts to end up in the same entrance of the cafe and begin to question why is it happen to him and he is begin to break after loop by loop.
Personality[]
Charlie seems to be look like a normal person from the outside but inside he is psychotic and brutal. He also try to make it like he is normal for having a conversation with a person. He feels the enjoyment of killing his victim like it is the only thing make him satisfied. While trapped and depressed by every loop he has been through, there is a connection where he wants to be free and forgiven after having conversation with a priest who appear to be a psychiatrist in the end.
Fate[]
In the loop, he is shot in the head by Sam once and also get defeated and killed by the fry cook multiple times when he challenge him to fight. Fed up with it, he grabs his gun and shoot the fry cook before making himself scramble eggs. After that, he shot himself and end up in the same loop again and again. In the plot twist, it is revealed that Charlie has been caught and became a patient in Neuroscape Therapeutics Asylum where he is been held in an experiment of simulation conducted by psychiatrists which explain why he is having the loop and it was all in his head. Plus, one of the nurse who appear to have the same face as Anna also revealed to be the daughter of Anna who he killed in the past and treat him with the tormenting experiment, leaving him in raging agony for the rest of his life.
