Charlotte Rivers aka "The Nurse" is the main antagonist in the 2005 Horror movie Fragile. She is played by Karmeta Cervera and Julieta Marocco.

Biography[]

Charlotte Rivers was a nurse at Mercy Falls Hospital in 1959, assigned to care for Mandy Phillips, a young girl suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta. Her relationship with Mandy soon turned into an unhealthy obsession, leading her to systematically fracture the girl's bones to prevent her transfer to another facility. When doctors discovered the abuse, Charlotte reacted by suffocating Mandy, then donned the child's metal braces and fell down the elevator shaft, resulting in her own death. Her spirit remained bound to the hospital, manifesting as a malevolent force targeting children. Over the years, several young patients, including Marvin Jones and Evelyn Thomas, encountered Charlotte before meeting untimely deaths. By 1999, as the hospital neared closure, her presence intensified. She manipulated Maggie, a girl with cystic fibrosis, and caused a train crash to obstruct the transfer of the remaining children. Her escalating violence resulted in further injuries and deaths, including the murder of a hospital worker, Roy. Charlotte's existence was eventually exposed by nurse Amy Nicholls, who uncovered her past and true identity. In her final act of rage, Charlotte triggered the collapse of the second floor, leading to the death of Maggie and her own transition to the afterlife, finally ending her haunting presence.
