“ | Sorry, babe. You aren't the only... junk in my trunk. | „ |
~ Chazwick after drugging Blitzo and locking him in the trunk of his car. |
Chazwick Thurman, known simply as Chaz, is the secondary antagonist of the episode Exes and Ohs in Season 2 of the adult animated black comedy-web series Helluva Boss.
He's a perverted and traitorous shark-like demon who was Moxxie and Millie's ex-boyfriend and was set to marry the former by Moxxie's father Crimson.
He was voiced by Eric Schwartz.
Personality[]
Chaz is an arrogant, sleazy, treacherous and suave-acting individual, often boasting about himself and being obsessed with having sex with whomever is in his vicinity, be they man or woman. He is callous and selfish, as he was willing to abandon Moxxie to be arrested by the police despite their relationship. Upon meeting Millie and Moxxie again, he greeted and shamelessly flirted with them, even trying to convince Moxxie to sleep with him while singing, undressing and harassing the imp, making Moxxie highly uncomfortable to the point where he kicked him out of his room and fell into tears straight afterwards. All of this demonstrates Chaz’s absurd selfishness and a lack of respect for anyone's personal boundaries. Chaz is also highly conniving and manipulative, as he planned to marry into Crimson's mafia family by marrying Moxxie (even if it was against his will) and faked being rich in order to accomplish this, all for his own benefit. After Blitzo managed to discover what he was up to, he drugged the I.M.P. boss unconscious, unwilling to let him compromise his plans. While Chaz was smart enough to keep his charade going however, his lie ended up costing him his life when Blitzo exposed his deceit to Crimson.
However, Chaz does seem to have a capacity for guilt, as he displayed visible regret upon abandoning Moxxie during the bank heist. Whether this was true remorse on his part is unclear, although it does imply that he may have genuinely cared for Moxxie and saw him as more than a sexual plaything or a meal ticket into Crimson's family. Despite that however, he did not show the same guilt upon meeting Moxxie again and only seemed concerned with putting the incident behind him. According to Blitzo after the demon had sex with him, Chaz is bad in bed. Blitzo telling Chaz to "CHILL THE F*** OUT!!" during their session (overheard in Moxxie's room) implies that Chaz is only focused on pleasuring himself and doesn't care for his partner in the slightest, further backing his selfish and egocentric personality.
Biography[]
Past[]
When Moxxie was being brought into the crime family, he saw Chaz and felt attracted to him. During a shoot out, Moxxie went to pick up a grenade he dropped and both Chaz and Moxxie's hands touched when both were trying to get the grenade. Moxxie ended up throwing the grenade which created a green cloud of smoke shaped like a heart. Chaz also went to Moxxie's home to ask him if he wanted to make out with him, helped Moxxie with cleaning his shotgun and even was painting a picture of Moxxie while he was naked. However, during a bank robbery, Chaz left Moxxie to be arrested by the police when he didn't help him get his leg from a gate that was holding it which caused Moxxie to be thrown in prison. It was there that he first met Blitzo, a fellow prisoner who needed help on a plan to get out; after they succeeded, Moxxie started working for Blitzo, and "never looked back" upon his dealings with Chaz or his father.
At some point, likely after abandoning Moxxie, Chaz also dated Millie, but their relationship ended after taking a bad turn to the point where Millie now absolutely despises Chaz.
Exes and Oohs[]
Chaz bumped into Millie and apparently tried to seduce her, bragging about the amount of money he had and how big his penis was, which annoyed Millie. He would later appear in the reunion between Crimson and the I.M.P, where it was revealed that he had sex with and dated both Moxxie and Millie.
Later, Crimson announced that he planned to have Chazwick join his family, and after Moxxie had finished his talk with his father, Chaz would go to Moxxie's room and try to seduce him, but it doesn't work. Chaz would then try to do the same with Millie with no success as well, but he was able to convince Blitzo into having sex with him.
Blitzo, not believing that someone who was as bad at sex as Chazwick to be able to have seduced Millie and Moxxie, would decide to investigate his car while Chaz was sleeping after stealing his car keys from his coat. Blitzo would then find out that Chaz was planning to marry Moxxie to join Crimson's crime family and become successful by faking being rich, and when Blitzo tried to warn Moxxie and Millie, Chaz drugged him and locked him in the trunk of his car, presumably to try and kill him later.
Crimson and Chaz would then try to have Moxxie married to the latter, but Millie was able to kill all of Crimson's henchmen and save Moxxie. Before they left, however, Blitzo would reveal to Crimson that Chaz lied about being rich, which caused the enraged Crimson to brutally kill Chaz and use his jaw as a decoration for his wall.
Trivia[]
- Crimson putting Chaz's jaw on his chair is used as an equivalent of a hunter putting an animal's head on a wall.
- If one looks at Chaz's hair closely, part of it can be seen nearly coming off at some points, implying that his hair is fake.
- Chaz's abandonment shifted Moxxie's life forever; if he didn't choose to abandon Moxxie to the police, Moxxie would never meet Blitzo (his soon-to be boss), run away from Crimson, and meet Millie (his true love whom he is destined to marry).
- Given that he's a shark demon, Chaz is likely from the Envy Ring, like Rolando, and the sisters Glitz and Glam.
- Chaz's plan would have backfired even if it had succeeded, as Crimson was bringing him into the family for wealth he didn't have. Thus, Chaz would have met his fate anyway when Crimson inevitably found out Chaz had lied, which he would've had no way to cover up in the end.
