The Chef Monkeys are the first bosses and secondary antagonists for the first chapter of the indie horror game Dark Deception.
History[]
Once the player has collected all the soul shards in the first level, the Chef Monkeys will appear in the kitchen and begin chasing down Doug Houser alongside the Murder Monkeys.
Appearance[]
They are similar to the Murder Monkeys in appearance, however they are slightly larger and have bushy brown handlebar moustaches and wear stereotypical chef's outfits rather than bellhop uniforms. In place of knives, the Chef Monkeys instead have large, bloodstained pizza cutters where their hands would be.
Like the Murder Monkeys, Chef Monkey's eyes will glow red when entering frenzy mode.
Personality[]
Just like the Murder Monkeys, they are shown to be vicious and bloodthirsty, persistently chasing down the player throughout the level.
In the Alpha version, Chef Monkeys weren't hostile and rather stare at the player as they walk by the kitchen.
