History[]
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom[]
Chen was somewhat different from his younger brother who spoke little and was cold and calculating. Despite being one of Lao Che's top lieutenants in the gang, Chen preferred the background role and helped expand his father's legitimate businesses. where he was significant in taking the family beyond boat transport, introducing air transport.
At the meeting in Shanghai between Indy and Lao at the Obi Wan Club, Chen is there with his brother and kills by shooting Indy's friend Wu Han when there is the meeting to exchange Nurhachi's ashes for the eye of peacock. Indiana, who has been poisoned, staggers towards a tray of flambéed pigeon as the three gangsters laugh sadistically at it, but then Indiana throws one of those right into Chen's chest and his cruel laughter turns into a squeal of pain. At the same time his trigger finger clenched, firing a shot that caused panic as he died.
Lego Indiana Jones[]
Chen appears in Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, however he doesn't die here and doesn't kill Wu Han either, as the latter dies to poison. After Indiana Jones and Willie escape the club, Chen isn't seen again. He is also a playable character upon unlocking him and wields a machine gun, in contrary to the movie, where he was seen with a gun.
