The Chicken Ghost, or the God of Chickens, is a hostile cryptid and urban legend created by the Canadian horror artist Trevor Henderson. He is a giant chicken-like humanoid that attacks those who harm chickens. Despite being a villain, he is shown to be somewhat of an anti-villain as he protects chickens from humans, and only seems to kill them by defending them.

Appearance[]

The Chicken Ghost is a tall, skeletal, humanoid creature with a form that resembles a humanoid chicken fetus. He has pale skin, bulging eyes with red scleras and black pupils, as well as short, branching protrusions bristling like thorns from his back.

Trivia[]

  • Despite being a brutal killer, he is seen as one of the most morally grey cryptids created by Trevor Henderson.
  • According to Trevor Henderson's monster tier list, the Chicken Ghost can likely be befriended, so long as one doesn't slaughter or eat poultry or provoke it in any way. [1]
    • he is stated to be Chaotically Good, as he rarely attacks and may just be protecting the chickens.
  • When he is present, chickens start to sing in unison, like a choir, and they will congregate on land in worship. It is unknown if he is the one who does this or if it comes from the chickens' volition.
  • He is able to make wounds (similar to those left by a chicken's beak) appear all over a person's body, and is capable of doing this without being physically present, in addition to doing it while a person is asleep, making it so they don't feel the effects of the wounds until they wake up.
  • In the same way as The Angel, the Chicken Ghost is the only one of its kind, but despite that, the enigmatic being has been documented on multiple occasions, implying that it is an immortal being.
  • Like any bird, Chicken Ghost feeds on seeds, rice, alfalfa, wheat, oats, sunflower seeds and some insects such as ants and worms.
    • However, since he is not completely avian, it is rumored that he can also be fed things that humans eat without any problem.
