Chief Blank is the secret and main antagonist of Space Channel 5. He was the chief and CEO of Channel 5 and was responsible for hypnotizing the Morolians and causing them to invade the Milky Way Galaxy, which caused the infamous Morolian Invasion of 2499. Blank later reveals he made them invade the Galaxy so the ratings for Channel 5 would skyrocket, despite the invasion being set up.
In an alternate reality of Space Channel 5 Part 2, Blank returns as an employee for Channel 5 studios, and has redeemed himself. However, it is unknown if he redeemed himself in the official timeline.
History[]
Past[]
Not much is known about Blank prior to the Space Channel 5 series. However, Blank eventually landed a career at Channel 5 and made his way up to chief and CEO of the station. He would later go on to build machines and robots in secret, including Evila and Giant Evila.
Before the story begins, Blank hypnotized the Morolians and caused them to invade the Galaxy, causing the Channel 5 ratings or skyrocket.
Space Channel 5[]
In Space Channel 5, it is revealed that the chief of Channel 5 had been hypnotizing the Morolians and causing them to cause destruction across the entire Galaxy. He is confronted by Ulala, Pudding, and Jaguar in the meeting room, where Ulala lets everyone know that Blank was the mastermind behind the invasion, and that the Morolians are actually being hypnotized. Blank then vanishes and leaves Ulala and her friends to save the Morolians.
After Ulala and her allies save multiple Morolians and hostages, Blank tells Ulala that she is a skilled reporter, and instructs her to take the elevator up if she wants to know the truth. Blank then goes up the elevator, and Ulala must save the Morolians blocking their paths.
When Ulala and her allies make it up the elevator, the are greeted by Blank’s voice, which says he wishes to dispose Ulala and her friends for wanting to seek the truth. Shortly after, Evila appears and greets Ulala, who was created to be the ultimate reporter and Blank’s perfect vision.
After Evila is defeated, Blank is upset and appears controlling Giant Evila, who is holding the Channel 5 spaceship. Immediately, Pudding, Ulala, and Jaguar take flight and attempt to stop Blank. He first knocks out Pudding, then Jaguar, and lastly Ulala. Ulala, however, gets back up and attempts to fight Blank once more, before he reveals his true intentions to the audience. Blank then activates the Blank Dimension, sucking Ulala and himself into a giant humanoid TV. Not long after, Ulala defeats him and leaves the dimension with him. After he grows weak, Ulala, Pudding, Jaguar use their dance power and blast him into deep space, leaving him to scream “I’ll be back!”
Space Channel 5 Part 2[]
In the Extra Modes (or alternate reality) of Space Channel 5 Part 2, Blank appears during the fourth report as an employee for Channel 5, who is being held hostage and forced to dance, and can be saved by Ulala.
It is presumed he redeemed himself and got another job at Channel 5. However, it is unknown if he really did redeem himself in the real/canon reality.
