Chief De Silva is the main antagonist of Sony Pictures 7th and Aardmans 4th full-length animated feature film Arthur Christmas.
She is a chief military officer and the leader of UNFITA (United Northern Federal International Treaty Alliance) who wants to take down an "unfriendly" alien that has been causing chaos on Christmas night.
She was voiced by Eva Longoria, who also voiced Lady X in Foodfight.
Appearance[]
Chief De Silva is a tall woman with fair skin and a bun in her hair, she wears a navy blue suit with a white jaded necklace and earrings.
Personality[]
Chief De Silva has a cold and serious personality, she is determined to resolve any problem she faces. She has a stern face expression and only starts being happy once the threat had been taken care of. Although she isn’t necessarily evil despite unknowingly going after Arthur, Bryony, and Grand Santa when the three are mistaken by government authorities as aliens due to causing mishaps all over Toronto and Idaho.
Biography[]
After Arthur and his gang get mistaken for aliens during their mission, news goes around the world and eventually goes to the military. Chief De Silva is first seen in the UNFITA headquarters where she asks where the UFO (which is really Santa's sleigh) is. She is later seen talking with world leaders claiming the aliens as an "unknown danger" and states they must be destroyed.
During the climax, she sends a predator drone to blow up the sleigh. Grand Santa decides to sacrifice Evie and tells Arthur and Bryony to jump off, he stands on top of Evie and jumps off as the sleigh is destroyed by the drones missiles. Chief De Silva thanks everyone after this saying that they just "saved Christmas". Nevertheless, Grandsanta and Arthur finally reach Trelew, England, and finally deliver the bicycle to Gwen's house before she wakes up.

- She only has around a minute of screen time.
- Her actions may seem like she is just doing her job, but the "aliens" which were really Arthur and his gang did not do anything harmful and she would have killed innocent aliens if they had been real either way.
- She is the only Aardman female antagonist that is not Claymation.
- Her organization, the United Northern Federal International Treaty Alliance (UNFITA), could somewhat be similar to other global organizations like the United Nations (U.N.) or the National Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
