Biography[]
Chink Weber, also refrred to as The Chink, is a inmate with a life sentence at Gateway Prison who acts as the yard boss and works for the prison's sadistic and corrupt Warden Drumgoole. That gives him power over the other inmates and freedoms such as wearing clothes of his liking and not being bothered by the prison guards (at least the corrupt ones). He alo leaders a gang of inmates.
When Drumgoole's enemy, Frank Leone was moved to Gateway Prison, Chink Weber was ordered by him to continuously harass Leone in order to make him fight back, and thus extend his time as a prisoner. During their first meeting, Chink told Leone to not sit one his chairs, claiming that they belong to him and that he has to pay if he want to sit on them. When Leone walks away, Chink attempts to steal his necklace, and as Leone fights back, Chink pulls a knife and threatens to stab his heart, but they are soon stopped by Officer Braden and Chink is taken away by the guards. However, Leone refuses to to tell them about the knife in order to avoid further troubles with Chink and his gang.
A few days later, Leone and a young friend of his named Pena/First Base were both targeted by Chink Weber when he was playing football with his gang. Chink asked Leone to joined them, and when he refused, Chink started to insult both of them and attempted to attack Pena. Leone then interrupted and accepted the challenge. During the match, Leone was constantly beaten by Chink and his men, resulting in another inmate named Eclipse to join Leone's team and help him. At the end of the match, Leone was knocked down by Chink and his necklace was taken. Some time later, Leone, Pena, Eclipse, Dallas, and some other inmates managed to rebuild a Ford Mustang in the prison shop. When Pena attempted to drive in the yard, he was soon stopped by the guards. However, Drumgoole decided to punish Leone instead by sending him in the hole for six weeks and also ordered Chink and his men to destroy the Mustang in front of them. Chink later destroyed the car even more, and even took a part of it as souvenir.
When Leone's time in the hole was finished, he was confronted in the prison restaurant by Chink Weber. Once again, Chink started to mock him by showing the souvenir from the car that he put in his belt, and warned Leone that his suffering is not over, even stealing his food in the process. Chink later met with Warden Drumgoole who told him that he is annoyed at him, as he could not break Leone. Chink answered that Leone could not be pushed, but the Warden told him that he is not using right methods and that he must find Leone's weak spot, even telling him that he'll have to find another yard boss if he does not succeed. Chink then planned his next move and decided to target Leone's twenty year old friend Pena by arranging with the guards to send him to the prison gym alone. There, Pena was ambushed by Chink and some of his men who killed him by throwing weights in his chest. Leone soon found out, and enraged, he went after Chink and his gang. After knocking out two of his men easily, the two started to fight. Chink tried to stab him, but Leone managed to brutally beat him senseless and was about to kill him the same way Pena was killed, but Leone realized that this was what Drumgoole wanted, so he sparred him and only took his necklace back, only to be stabbed in the back by one of Chink's men. Chink Weber was not shown after this and his fate is unknown. Later, a guard named Mastrone posed as an inmate and tried to force Leone to escape by telling him that he will rape his girlfriend in order to avenge Chink Weber.
Personality[]
Chink Weber is a brutal inmate who wanted to have power over others, didn't like to be treated as the other inmates, and enjoyed bullying and assaulting other inmates. He also had no remorse for anyone, even killing Pena just to make Leone angry and thus not lose his place as yard boss.
