Chip is the secondary antagonist of the 2023 reboot series Bakugan. He is a xenophobic police officer who is highly skeptical and distrustful of Bakugan following their arrival on Earth. He is the son of the Mayor and the leader of the Task force, a governmental and police organization that deals with rampaging Bakugan and Bakugan who Baku-brawl illegally.

Throughout the series, while Chip is not entirely evil and follows the law seriously, however, some of his actions can be considered villainous, as he is known to abuse his power by harassing the Misfit Clan at times, much to the annoyance of the Misfits which then turn into a mutual hatred.

Chip was voiced by Matt Folliott, who voice Gloop the Third in PJ Masks and portrayed William Ocean in Odd Squad.

Appearance[]

Chip is a blonde-haired man with red eyes and has one of his teeth missing. He wears a light blue collared shirt that is worn over by a dark blue police vest. After being appointed as leader of the Task Force, he now wears a badge on the left side of his vest, so that everyone would know of his status and position.

Personality[]

Chip is a strongly xenophobic person with a strong distrust towards Bakugan and would more or less keep an eye on them, which makes him a nuisance at times. Because he takes his job as leader of the Task Force a little too seriously he is known to intrude on the Misfits, even invading their privacy in the process, which he finds it enjoying. Chip is also somewhat paranoid as whenever he hears the Misfit Clan doing something suspicious, he would believe that they are illegally Baku-brawling, which can lead to Chip making a fool of and embarrassing himself in the process.

Because of his ways when doing his job, this led him to be disliked by many even the Misfit Clan. Chip is shown to really care about his job as he became distraught to the point of protesting after being told by the general to ease up on his duties and lay low for a while. This led him to be emotionally unstable, where he would vent his frustrations out even on the Misfit Clan.
