Cho'Gath, also known as the Terror of the Void, is a villainous playable character in the multiplayer online battle arena game League of Legends. A terrible Voidborn that has emerged in Icathia, Cho'Gath was created to consume all life on Runeterra, driven by an insatiable hunger.
Cho'Gath was released on June 26, 2009, and is most commonly played in the top lane.
His voice actor is unknown.

A terrifying monstrosity from the Void, Cho'Gath is a sentient horror so ancient and terrible that its name has been purged from history itself. One of the Voidborn, Cho'Gath was created by the Watchers to consume everything it sees in order to purge reality from their beautiful nothingness. Given a complex biology to grow and adapt with a permanent, insatiable hunger, Cho'Gath takes its task in stride, emerging in Icathia to carry out its masters' bidding.
Gameplay[]
In game, Cho'Gath serves as a specialist-type character, filling a unique role as an evolving tank with slowing and area-of-effect abilities. It's passive, Carnivore, lets it recover heatlh and mana whenever it kills an enemy unit. Cho'Gath can use Rupture to create spikes from the ground that knock up enemies, Feral Scream to deal magic damage and silence enemies, and release Vorpal Spikes to deal damage and slow enemies. With its ultimate, Feast, Cho'Gath can eat an enemy unit, and permanently grow in size and health if the unit is killed.

Because the purpose of Cho'Gath's entire existence is to consume and destroy, its personality is very stereotypically evil. It is possibly one of the most intelligent Void creatures behind Vel'Koz, though even Vel'Koz would scoff at Cho'Gath's blatant disinterest in the mortal realm. The monster loves to eat and scare people, and berates them when they think it hides under a bed. Being used to a vast expanse of nothingness, Cho'Gath hates the sunlight, complaining how "it burns" and destroys the wonderful darkness. Cho'Gath is also very xenophobic and arrogant, seeing itself as a superior being to pitiful mortals as it consumes their world.

- Cho'Gath's name may be a reference to the Shoggoth from the Cthulhu Mythos, Cho'gall from Warcraft, and Ku'gath from Warhammer 40,000.
