Personality[]
Among the bullies, Choi Hye-Jeong is probably the least awful character. In a way, she was led astray by the rest ‒ they mentioned she would have been the “next” Dongeun if the latter didn’t quit school. With no other options, she listened to their instructions and participated in bullying the innocent.
However, her obsession with climbing the social ladder and love for luxury goods was no doubt a turn-off. She was willing to marry a richer, older guy to level up her status, but she immediately broke off the engagement when Jaejun offered her a chance to be together.
Yet, when Jaejun abandoned her later, Hyejeong decided to take up Dongeun’s offer of seeking revenge by replacing Jaejun’s eye drops with a harmful chemical.
Choi Hye-Jeong proves herself to be quite cunning, although not on the same caliber as Jeon Jae-Joon and Park Yeon-Jin- her schemes are much more surreptitious and covert than Yeon-Jin’s.
She manages to manipulate Lee Sa-Ra into turning against Park Yeon-Jin with just a few words, and fools Park Yeon-Jin into getting a plastic surgery, allowing Moon Dong-Eun to extract DNA from her which would later lead to her downfall. Moon Dong-Eun herself, claimed that Hye-Jeong's mask of kindness was crafted well, but had many sloppy areas, which eventually lead to her eventually being black-mailed and coerced into becoming Dong-Euns pawn.
She is also shown to be very cowardly, not hesitating to throw people under the bus, and actually views others as pawns.
She rarely resorts to depraved means such as mutilation, but her glee and delight in conspiring with others and manipulating events behind the scenes proves her to be just as bad as the other bullies.
Such as when she seduced her Gym Teacher in high school in order for him to give her the key, showing her ability to use her charm and femininity to get what she wants. Even Park Yeon-Jin acknowledges this ability.
