Chris Shiherlis is the deuteragonist of the 1995 crime drama Heat, directed by Michael Mann.

In his characterisation, Chris is a member of Neil McCauley's heist crew and is known for his qualities as a skilled thief.

He was portrayed by the late Val Kilmer, who also played Mr. Nobody in The Traveler, Walker Sloan in Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Dr. Montgomery in The Island of Dr. Moreau, Dieter Von Cunth in MacGruber and Dr. David Kruipen in The Thaw.

Biography

Heat

Chris is on a turbulent and intricate money situation with his wife Charlene. He gambles most of the cash he plundered, in a heist that went askew after the tyro Waingro sabotaged it. Shiherlis determines to culminate the bank heist in order to preserve through life, and retire, no matter how high the jeopardy is.

The heist is succeeded, but the escape route is failed, as Vincent Hanna and his quad intervenes and criminal warfare ensues. Chris is the sole member of the criminal gang who manages to escape. After being shot and wounded during a shootout, he is taken to a hospital to get stitched up. When the police set up a stakeout waiting for him to seek out his wife Charlene and their child, Charlene warns him it’s not safe, and he drives away.

Heat 2

Chris evolves from a bank robber to a fledgling crime lord. After abandoning his family, he escapes the city with help from Nate. He later works as a bodyguard for a crime family in Ciudad del Este, where he falls in love with his boss’ daughter, Ana Liu.
